• The results of the egg decorating contest have been announced! Everyone's designs were amazing! Congratulations to our winners!

Biggest ACNL mistake?

I sold a sloppy bed before I knew the sloppy set was not orderable. Same with a lawn mower (although that was more surprising as it more of a ordinary furniture.)

I sold a lot of stuff or sent it to my villagers when I didn't know they were rare... it was pretty heart breaking!

Buying cedar saplings and planting them in the bottom half of my town, and planting my first coconut on the grass.

I can understand the coconut not growing, but I think the design decision to kill the cedars planted in the bottom half of town is a stupid one.

Yeah, I am not fond of that either cause had the perfect little area of my town for a forest but they won't grow there... so it's more of an orchard now. >.<

Story time yo.

I had finally gotten my final and favorite dreamie, Francine, to move into my town in the next couple days.
I was plot-resetting so that her house would be in a nice spot.
During this process, I almost loaded up my mayor on accident.
Luckily I was able to restart the game and continue resetting.
the next 3 resets, I noticed Francine's house plot hasn't changed at all.
"Huh, that's weird.. Maybe even loading my mayor causes it to be saved. Darn, Atleast it's not too bad of a spot"
So, I began trying to make the house plot work and loaded up my path making character.
When I got there, Francine's house plot was GONE.
I immediately panicked realizing that all 3 of those times that her house plot was in the same spot
was a COMPLETE COINCIDENCE.
I began to run around my town searching for the plot, all the while hoping it wasn't in too bad of a spot.
Then, I found it.

Right there, literally 2 spaces away from the bulletin board and blocking half of the whole thing.

"Francine.. My favorite and final dreamie.. how could you do this to me..........."
This isn't the first time this has happend to me but atleast the first time wasn't this bad.

THAT IS THE WORST OMG I never plot reset before but I can't even imagine! Worst placement. I probably should plot reset so I could avoid all the rude villagers >.<

Blasrhsajkfhg ლ(ಠ_ಠლ) This is the thing that annoys me most in this game! I feel your pain. I've got a similar story to share... It fits the topic, but I hadn't posted it here before because my brain was trying to block all the bad feelings haha

I had four consecutive villagers move directly in front of my house. Once one moved out, the next one dumped their house! Right there! In front of mine! FOUR TIMES! It's what made me quit the game for over a year. I didn't plot-reset, because I don't think anyone knew the trick yet, at least outside of Japan (I got the game when it first came out in NA, the special edition poptart 3DS XL).

I ate my perfect orange, didn't know about plot resetting and picking villagers up from streetpass (which resulted in a truly terrible house placement), all of that stuff. But by far my biggest was not realizing that answering Rover's questions decided your face and I ended up with the Worst. Eyes. Ever. Now I have to wear Funny Glasses on my mayor at all times because I can't stand to look at her .-.

I know I should reset now while my town's only a couple months old but I can't bring myself to do it.

resetting my seattle town
it was actually p nice but i was dumb
rip me
i still hav the graphed map in my .sai file, along with wynwood and s/2003 J

I picked the cheeky cause i liked the rosy cheeks, cause I got those irl, but I don't like the plain eyes so I wear my big ol'heart shades!

I time traveled quite a few days ahead for a Camper trick I was reading, and I lost Roscoe (one of my favorite villagers.)
I was so heart-broken after that-- ;v;

I am SO petrified of TT'ing since I lost one of my favorite villagers... so now I go day by day and talk to everyone, calling them on my loudspeaker thing, making sure they're alright and NOT LEAVING ME! And then I go back to my original day after I get done TT'ing for whatever I needed. I had to do this this morning so I could make room for Zucker, and when I went back to my present day he had already plotted! So I know all my dreamies are safe. =D

I time travelled and forgot that I had invited Bam into my town, and he ended up being in the worst possible spot ever so I ended up having to give him away. TT^TT

Placing the tent in the wrong place. I can't place pine trees around the area to make it look like a forest. :/

I had wanted more variety in my villager personalities, so I let Lily go...I still miss her ❤️ Every single time I play...sigh
