I'm working on the theme challenge and I've chosen fairy tale. I have the 200,000 points for my exterior and I had 295,000 for the interior. When Gracie moved to town, I bought the complete sweet set to supplement one of my rooms. Now Lyle only counts the exterior in my score and tells me I have very little fairy tale feeling in my house. I have the complete ice series, the complete mermaid series, the complete regal and now the complete sweet series. I also have the rococco series, but am missing a few pieces. I have stained glass galore and tons of small sets that the guide says are fairytale compatible; ie Genie lamp, baby carriage and crib etc.
What happened? I didn't accept my first prize of the golden roof because the garden around my house is pink and purple and I think the exterior looks best - could that be why?

(edited to include a furniture set.)

Thats really odd. I just looked all of that up in the book and its all Fairytale so I can't figure out what Lyles complaint would be. I don't think the stained glass lamp is fairytale, just the stained glass is though, but one thing wouldn't be a problem. I had trouble when I was doing this because I kept out alot of things that were neutral. Once I picked up everything that wasn't my theme it was much better.

That's what I don't understand. The Pave set was suppose to be neutral so I switched it to the Sweets set because the guide said that "Sweets" was Fairytale. I thought that my points would go up and I'd get my next prize on the ladder. No such luck.
I'm wondering if I shouldn't try switching my theme for a day and then switching back to Fairytale. Anyone else have any suggestions?

( And by stained glass I mean the windows. I got most of the design options available from refurbishing the windows at Re-Tail. I have them displayed through my house along with the original window. That way if someone sees a window and likes it when they spot-pass they can order a window from my home and get it refurbished. )

Rococo isn't fairy-tale.

Anyway, I won the theme challenge with Ice, Mermaid, Regal, Snowman, and Lovely.

Rococo isn't???

* Flips open the hugely overpriced guidebook that I was talked into buying with the game... *

According to this it is, but this wouldn't be the first error I found in it. For example Lopez's coffee....

Gahhhhh... That means I have to dust off the lovely set and display that... :P

I really don't like the lovely set, it's too clunky and the series makes no sense.... lovely kitchen .... sigh... Lyle the things I do for you, you fast talking, smooth speaking otter.
