I've been wanting to switch over some of my villagers, but there's a lot of different ways I've heard of moving them out. What's the ideal method these days? I don't have any qualms with time travelling.

This Google doc has different methods to TT to find bubbles on specific villagers. I have tried the "Leap, Backpedal, Hop" method and it works very well

Find a day when one has a speech bubble. If it’s about moving and someone you want to keep, close the game without saving. Go back to the previous day and then come back to the bubble day and a different villager should have the bubble. Keep doing that until it’s someone you want gone.

I still think the campsite visit is one of the better ways to move out the newest villagers. If you TT you can constant jump forward two weeks until you get a thought bubble and then move day by day to try to get it on the villager you are trying to move.

Fastest way for me is 15 days method. Fast forward 15 days to the future then go day by day. Everyday there will be a thought bubble on a random villager. Quit the game without saving and don’t talk to the villager if it’s someone you want to keep. Repeat until the bubble lands on the villager you want to move out (skipping event days and days where KK Slider is visiting)

I’m wondering about all the steps that this method makes you do like talk to a villager, go forward a month, enter the game, quit, then go back a month then forward day by day. Were these how it worked before? Because the method I’ve been using is the same as janeying12, just go forward 15 days and then day by day and you’ll have someone that wants to move out.
