Best way to get lots of clovers (without hacking)

I'm not sure that there is a sure fire way to do it, but I know that if you timeskip, you can time skip for a crazy amount of time and pick all the weeds. You might get lucky, but other than hacking or buying I think that would be the easiest way.

Put something wherever you don't want the clovers like paths, items, or flowers. Then time travel, you usually get at least one clover a day, maybe more without the beautiful ordinance, I'm not sure. But that's what I did until I collected lucky clovers.

Agreed--I don't know of any 'vanilla' way to get lucky clovers intentionally. If you don't like the idea of time skipping in your town in order to get weeds, you could use a second copy of the game--and a second 3DS so you can visit yourself--to TT in that town. When I was building my town of Goblin, I used my cycling town, my main town, and my mom's town to gather gyroids and bush starts. You could try the same with lucky clovers. Just TT like crazy, checking for the clovers. This will still take a very long time! (Edited to add: I swear I've only found, like, two lucky clovers in my main town! Your mileage may vary.)

As Snookrin said, your best bet is to purchase them from someone. The only issue with that is that you can't guarantee that the person selling the clovers didn't hack to get them. (Hacked clovers won't hurt your game, but I understand your just not wanting hacked items.)

Thanks everyone, these are some great tips
I think you're right that they appear more without beautiful town which sucks because of all of my flowers

Ive done the same thing, using lucky clovers in my path design. I tried to do the same thing by letting them just spawn in naturally but it honestly took a ridiculous amount of time considering I don't time travel. I'm also not sure, but do regular clovers interfere with a perfect town status? I ended up just resorting to buying them off someone - the fact I used my legitimately saved up bells to buy them made them justifiable to have in my eyes, otherwise I just would never have gotten there I don't think.

The easiest way is to have beautiful off and time travel for weeds. I do 2 weeks at a time in my spare town. Walk around town to pick up clover and dig up any gyroids there. All my fossils are buried on the beach.

A lot of my players receive four leaf clover from my mom in a letter. One play session all 3 players found one in the mail.
Check retail. The villagers can put a four leaf clover for sell in retail. It looks like a book.

just buy them from people thats what i did before hacking but the line you say before putting it in your pocket is ingrained in the back of my head

"Woah! I found a four-leaf clover! I wonder if that makes me lucky?"

If you're worried for your flowers you could always store them while you do your TT'ing. I store mine while I breed others, like right now I am just going for pink flowers so I have all my orange and yellow flowers put away.

You know, if you don't want to hack them or buy them off anyone, I think the absolute fastest and easiest way would be to use both regular clovers (the ones considered weeds) and lucky clovers. I really don't recommend making your paths entirely out of self-found lucky clovers. Just determine where you want your paths and cover all other places with something so clovers only spawn where you want them. Time travel until you have clovers everywhere you want, while picking up any unneeded flowers, gyroids and weeds that aren't clovers. If that's something you're worried about, regular clovers don't hurt your town rating even though they're considered weeds. Only the other types of weeds do.

Of course it'd be a bit inconvenient not being able to pick up the clovers and replant them elsewhere, but I honestly don't think it's a very good idea to try to find all the needed lucky clovers without help. It'd take ages. Either way, I hope you'll be able make those paths! Good luck however you decide to go about it. :)
