Best swimwear accessories & why no flippers?

Is anyone else surprised that we don't have flippers? It would be cool if you got a pair of flippers that made you swim faster for catching all the creatures. I wonder if anything special happens when you catch all the sea creatures.

I'm hoping to host a cataloging event soon with swimwear and summertime items. There's not much for swimming shoes... maybe just the water shoes. I've got the snorkels, goggles, and (some but not all of the) swimming caps. Any other good swimming accessories that you can think of?

Honestly, I'm not really bothered by swimming in normal shoes. Since I was granted the jailbird wetsuit, I've just adopted the story I broke out from Alcatraz.

If we ever get flippers, one should definitely be yellow so I can wear the duck bill and start a cult of duck people.

I put on the Nook snorkel, Nook wet suit, and and matching light blue water shoes for when I go swimming.

I'd definitely wear some flippers if they were an option. Or maybe some of those water wings that go around the tops of your arms haha

Why would we need flippers?

We only need the wetsuit.

The less junk in my inventory, and the less stuff I have to put on and take off, the better.

Have you ever tried walking on land with flippers?!
Imagine your character running around whilst wearing flippers... Totally breaks the submersion. Lugging 20 whale sharks around in my pockets is pushing the boundaries of what I find submerging...However, I draw the line at running with flippers!

Other swimwear would be nice as well.
You know, like an actual swimsuit to sit on your beach chair and look like you're at the beach.
Shorts are okay, but not the same.

The flippers would probably clip through the ground like crazy since they would act like shoes. I dont see them adding animations just for the flippers.

Was a very happy camper when I saw the snorkel/mask.

I’d appreciate pool rings or “floaties“ to chill out on the water.

I wish that the wetsuit could be a wand outfit with swim accessories, I got a swimmer’s cap, snorkel and wet shoes specifically to make my character look like a dork.
