Best Method to Change Villager Shirt?

I usually don't mind too much, but Tia changed into a ducky tee and it looks silly. What's the best method to change her shirt without ruining her house?

I'm curious about this too. My friend told me to mail the villager twice with the same shirt in each... but my guess is, the first shirt will go into the house =3=.. Easy to fix but don't want that to happen ;_;!!

LOL! When I had Bob he passed around blossom tees! I had 6 villagers wearing blossom tees at one point... INCLUDING KYLE! He looked hilarious.

Ugh LOL, my dear Sydney is passing around her ugly No. 2 shirt T_T.. It's so terribad lol

There is no way to avoid having a villager slap a shirt in their houses. Even if they change from a conversation request, they can put that or their old shirt in their house (why fml)


That being said, I clear bells and inventory and run around with the shirts I want them to wear, or speak to them until they request.

It's easy, make sure your inventory is full of clothes, if you don't have enough clothes to fill your inventory then throw in items villagers won't try to buy off you to take up space, then make sure the villager who clothes you want to change is in their home as this raises your chances of them putting the clothes on, then just keep pestering them them until they finally buy or trade a piece of clothing in your inventory and keep doing so until they put it on, exiting and reentering their house house helps to.

Lol. Yeah I've been mailing them all different shirts and I've only gotten one to change into something I've sent them. I've made a few new designs in my tailor shop and they seem to like them until another villager stumbles upon them with something else new and hideous. XD

If you mail them 5 of the shame shirt at once (all the shirts in wrapping paper), they pretty much always put it on. Sometimes some end up in their house though, so if that bothers you, the walking around with the clothes you want them to wear and trying to get them to buy it method is better.
Also worth mentioning, if they have a birthday coming up and you give them clothes, they will always 100% put it on immediately
