This guy's method has worked for me LITERALLY 100% of the time. If the video is TL;DW-
1. Pick a start day. Go into game, talk to all villagers once, save and exit.
2. Skip 1 day. **Open game, see if thought bubble. If THERE IS a bubble, tell villager to leave if it is the right one, if it is NOT the right villager, move to step 1a. If there is NO BUBBLE, save and exit.
3. Skip 15 days if the single day doesn't work and repeat step 2 from the **
1a. Not the right villager? Save and exit WITHOUT talking to them, go back to start date, enter the game, IMMEDIATELY save and exit, go to 'move out date'.
NOTES: If a villager has the thought bubble but it is NOT the one you want to move, do not talk to them. They wont move without your permission so ignore them. If you talk to them and tell them not to move, the method wont work.
If you have really high friendship, you might have to repeat the process multiple times because they will just want to give you stuff.
Basically, you're trying to find the move out date. Once you find it, you can transfer the bubble to other villagers by going back and forth between the 'start date' and 'move out date'.
