Hey guys. So unfortunately today my Aqueon filter on my 5 gallon tank broke. I don't want to replace the whole tank. The Filter was just a piece of sh**. I'm looking into buying a new one but am unsure which kind.
The API SuperClean Power Filter 5-20 looks good but I dunno if it would be too large to fit onto the tank.
Help?

Luckily betta fish don't even need filters on their tanks cause they aren't that dirty unlike goldfish

arent bettas those siamese fighting fish? i thought they filtered their own water, using the gills of their vanquished foes...

Try asking the folk of bettafish.com. I'm a member there too and their userbase is fantastic. They've helped me so much with my concerns about my little boy, Roan.

Ah, good to hear!

I don't really know individual filters. My primary tank has a 3-stage filtration system which does an excellent job.

awesome! I have 3 tanks. 2 of them are 2.5 with filters and one is a 5 gallon with the new filter. I have all bettas.

Bettas are amazing. We (Meg-Mog and I) are looking into getting another for our divided tank.

Cool! You should rescue one! What size tanks do you have and how many?
I have 2 males and 1 female.
Luna is a purple halfmoon betta (I think, Klaus is a blue and red crowntail (His fins are red, and Red is a male halfmoon betta.
