Best eBay snipe?

Does the phrase snipe not mean you cheated someone out of something? I was a lil bit confused when I read this title lol! That may just be the way I learned it haha. I don't really have any, maybe my Sanrio cards for (approximately) $7.50? I'd say that pretty good compared to the other prices I've seen!

Welp I went and looked it up and apparently it means to bid moments before an auction ends in hope that no one else will have time to bid. Well that's exactly what I did with my Sanrio cards so it still works!

o.o I thought it meant getting a really good deal xD I never interacted with the seller except when shipping. Wow nice! 7.50 is really good for 6 cards!
Snipe to me means you outbid someone last second. There are even tools where you can preset your max bid and it'll bid last min for you

Holy crap that would scared the **** out of me lmao. I wouldn't be able to sleep until the seller answered me, glad it turned out okay!
I don't really partake in auctions since I don't bother with the bidding software that everyone uses, but I did get Whitney for ?7 when she normally goes for ?20. It's still a stupid price to pay for one card, but I just keep reminding myself that these will probably have a use in future AC games so it's a long-term investment (I hope). If not then I could always sell whatever cards I've gathered and recover the cost.
Not necessarily a stupid price if Whitney is all you needed. You could either pay about that to get a full pack of dupes, or pay just for her, which is the reason you bought the cards.

Is that really that sought after? I got 001 Isabelle from a blind pack and don't see anything special about it.

You're absolutely right. I'd be paying ?5 (plus whatever postage fee) for three cards anyway if I decided to buy packs, so it's too much of a risk. I'm glad I was able to buy her outright, I just wish the packs of cards weren't so overpriced here!
They are expensive. I've stopped buying packs. I was fortunate to get Whitney, 3 Julians, Kyle, Chief, Lobo, Skye, and many others just from blind packs but I now have most of my favorites from trades. All I really want now is Marina and Fang, so I'm just looking at ebay and Amazon (Marina is a bit better of a deal on Amazon than ebay right now lol) but all generally the same expensive price.

I got Isabelle from series 1 and series 3 randomly, but I can see why everyone wants her amiibo card. Her version where she's wearing a dress and a bow is so cute lol.
I think this was a buy-out shortly after it was posted instead of a snipe, but I can't remember?

That was massively lucky. The amount of packs I got and never found him, got him in a good trade eventually. The person was very generous and only wanted a couple of WA cards in exchange. Would never pay his massive overinflated prices
I don't normally take part in auctions or anything just because there's always somebody who comes along in the last seconds and outbids you. I did get a good price on there for June when the WA card sales were going crazy. While most people were selling cards for around ?4 each, just as I was searching a new seller came up with all 50 cards available for 1.50 each so I got in first
Was just a nightmare trying to get them all when we only get 3 to a pack and June would always be one of the first to sell, so it was a pretty good deal
