Personally, I really suggest Dom or Antonio for Jocks. Those two are the ones I have enjoyed the most out of all the jocks I have had.
If you want a cute cranky I suggest Gonzo, Butch, or Frett. However I really like Vic and I usually have him. Avery has a cool design.

Apollo is my favorite, but there are plenty of great cranky villagers! Fang, Wolfgang, Murphy, Butch, and Kabuki are all great. ^^

My personal favorite for Crankies are Chief or Apollo, and for Jocks is Dom, but if we’re going to mention both why not the duo Sterling and Knox! They both have a nice aesthetic and the custom material design they got in New Horizons really makes them unique and stand out, and in tandem they’re just cool together to have two knights on your island, almost like your own Booker and Cooper, just with… well, feudalism.

I was really confused by this post because the original poster posted in 2020 but I think this post turned into a Cranky/jock appreciation post which I approve. They're my favorite personalities.
I really like all jocks but if I have to pick one is Jay. He's my favorite villager, he's really underrated but all jocks are underrated.
If you asked me about my favorite cranky in 2020 I would say Roscoe but now it's Marlo. I didn't care for Marlo until he moved to my island. Now my island requires Marlo in it.
Marlo knew that to overthrow Roscoe from my list of dreamies he had to impress me and that he did. He did a big brain move by interacting a lot with the dreamie that I will never replace, Jay, you know the jock bird. Now they're dating and he knows that I can't move him out or I will hurt Jay. So yeah...he pointed a gun of feelings at me. I better not move him out if I don't want Jay's feelings to be hurt gabeesh?! XD
