Bench Glitch

I've never seen this happen before. Then again, I've never bothered to look it up. How did this happen? I started the Yellow Bench PWP but never got it completed because I wasn't going to have it where it was sitting, anyway. I jumped one day ahead, went a day back, demolished the PWP, and this is what I found after wandering around around town.

Oh dude, that's amazing! I remember seeing someone else with the same glitch a while back, but I can't remember where I found it and the circumstances were. I don't remember if they were demolishing it or if they were just waiting for it to be completely or what.

I thought maybe it would be nice to share. You can't sit on the "bench" yourself, however.

Nothing. It should be gone. I started the PWP one day as a way to prevent housing in a spot I didn't want Sterling to be in. When I go a day ahead, the PWP isn't there, but because I didn't save, jumping back to the day I started the PWP brings it back, though you can't give money to Loid.

At the moment, I'm stuck in limbo, plot resetting while trying to get Sterling's house where I want it. I started the PWP on the 7th of this month. I went to the 8th with a new file to see if Sterling would appear. His house did, so I resetted several times and his house was almost where I wanted it, but not exactly, so I went back to the 7th, placed the Yellow Bench where Klaus and Octavian are sitting. Then I jumped ahead, did the plot reset again, still no luck. I jumped back to the 7th, asked Isabelle to stop all payments towards the PWP, and she said OK. So when I jump to the 8th now, the PWP is gone. But when I go back to the 7th, the PWP is still there, accepting no transaction.

The only glitch I have found in-game with pwps so far without some hard tamper, that not many people have found yet is went I used the net glitch on the zen clock. It knocked me out when I got on top, as if I was bitten by a tarantula.

That aside, there are some glitchy problems with the pwps.... such as the popular "glitch towns" on unpatched Japanese carts, and villagers being knocked up onto cliffs if pwps are too close after a ceremony, or glitched rivers if a pwp is too close in line and can bump you onto the river....

That happened to me as well! It scared me so much! I went on top of the train station, and for no real reason, I decided to click "save and continue." Then I got knocked out. I guess the game just doesn't know what to do with your location, so it just tries to resolve it by resetting everything, haha.

You can actually do this on multiplayer as well. The person who gets knocked out literally vanishes off screen on the other player's side. It's hilarious. It surprisingly doesn't crash the game, though. Although I haven't tried it multiplayer where the visitor is one who gets knocked out; it's always the host. Not sure what happens then.

I can't explain it, I am not sure what caused it. I was used the net glitch as my friend was leaving my town (he didn't tell me), it was just me and him. Once he left, my character had the sounds and effect as if she was bitten by a tarantula, and fall from the zen clock onto the ground.

This is why I don't like using the net glitch when the game saves. You don't know what's going to happen.
