In New Leaf we finally got the chance of playing the role of a mayor since we could not really count in Tortimer and his never ending mandate.
Politics in real life aren't really fun since it have a lot of corrupted people while in the game we can do things right and in our own.
But, our villagers are a bunch of looneys for thinking the first human to step out from the Train Station is their new mayor.
So, we play along, despite the fact there is no real election and also no duration of our mandate.
I just went to vote for mayor today and one of the candidates (the current mayor) is know for being xenophobic and racist, so I could only count with the other candidate.
I recall that my father was rejected in the company which the current mayor owned, because according to that racist he was "black".
My father is pretty much caucasian.
In game we don't have the usual issues which we can see in real life like corruption and violence.
Frankly, I'd wish to have the ability to be the mayor being in the next game.
