Does beetle hunting bore the crap out of you? It sure as heck does for me. I almost fell asleep once and last night I had an hour to catch them before nook closed so I could pay off my mortgage. And I was really distracted and bored. Now I'm doing it again so I can expand my bedroom again.
This thread is pointless. I just wanted to whine. I'm tired.
Well, it's not a super happy fun time to hunt beetles, but it doesn't really bother me that much. The fun level is upped a bit when I spot a golden stag or a hercules beetle
Just got a couple hundred thousand, and keep investing it into turnips. It's really easy and you'll be rich in no time. I haven't beetle farmed since the third week of June, lol.
Turnips, mentioned above, is definitely a great way to profit. It's not as risky as it first seems, especially if you join the exchange thread here in TBT. As for beetles, I like to watch a movie while I hunt c:
I like to do something else when I hunt, which is what a lot of people are commenting out. I watch a movie that I love and have seen a thousand times so I don't really have to pay attention to know the plot line. I also listen to music. If you do something other than just beetle hunting, it's much more effective and you find yourself less impatient.
I love the activities which require tools... yes, the mechanic can be expanded. But until a sequel to New Leaf is released, the simplicity & the lovely *spronk!* sound effect is sooo rewarding...^-^
i have a little routine hehe i beetle hunt every night and usually make at least 2 trips while i watch tv with my mom!! and a lot of the time she hunts with me so its even less boring, idk i actually find it really relaxing
Oh gosh it is boring. I don't normally do anything in the background, but ill play with my boyfriend so we kind of compete while we're sitting next to each other.

I think it got boring too. I actually haven't been to the island in like a week now. I think an easier way to make bells is to just do the perfect fruit method and turnips.
Its fun, but only when theres lots of bugs out. Right now I'm at the island, and have walked around like 10 times and the only thing I have caught was 1 tiger beetle and 1 horned atlas. Sometimes every other tree will have bugs, and sometimes theres none.
I get a full drop off basket and then I go back to the village sell it all at Re-Tail and maybe spent some of it on PWPs but the rest I spend on Turnips
It's quite lively.
