I dont have no amiibo cards first off. Ive been at it for 2 real life days trying to kick him. I gifted him via mail and in person lotsa gifts. Now he just gave me a gift when i talked to him. Does that mean my friend level is high enough for him to leave? He just arrived via autofill Sunday morning. Does anyone know if talking to him till he gets annoyed for 5 or 6 days be enough to increase the friend level to where he should want to leave? I heard that if friend level is high enough they ask to move. Not to mention i time traveled all over the board trying all different methods with no success. Can someone please help?

Hey(: I had the same issue with Graham. I ignored him for months and finally I got a camper to want to replace him. I’ve been trying to get hazel to leave as well but no luck yet! I’m just keeping with my ignore method. On my last island ignoring them worked really well! Maybe try it out(: if not, you can always wait for a camper, save your game before talking to them, and keep restarting until they mention replacing beardo. Hope this helps, good luck!

Same problem with Chief. The I wanna move bubble keeps bouncing around to everyone but him. I tried to move in a camper and that failed too. She kept trying to play games for items. There were a few times I got her to agree to move in but she never picked Chief as the one to replace and I finally gave up. We could both use some serious luck

Is he your most recently moved-in villager? I don't believe they'll ever naturally ping to move out, so you'll either have to move somebody else in or have a campsite villager kick him out.

this happened to me with Chops on one of my previous islands. i've forgotten if he was my most recent move-in then, but ik that during his very brief stay of about a week or so i only talked to him a few times (never gifting him anything) and he eventually asked to move out.

this post (click this thing) by Bioness shows the chances of a villager to move out based on your friendship with them. as you can see, the less friendship you have with them, the more likely they are to ask to move out. so maybe instead of gifting Beardo stuff, just talk to him once every other day or so until he asks to move out.

You can get amiibo "coins" for as little as $1.50 each + $2.00 shipping on Etsy. It seems a very small price to pay to avoid a lot of frustration.

Bad moveout luck has been the bane of my existence for a while now in this game, so I absolutely feel your pain. I hope you're able to get the bubble to bounce to him soon. I feel like the game just knows somehow which ones you want to keep and it tries its absolute best to trick you into getting rid of them accidentally

Oh I feel for you. I had no intention of using amiibo cards when I got the game so of course I got Beardo as my campsite villager at the start and he was already my least favourite villager from New Leaf. Had to break my self-imposed rule immediately. =.=

Hopefully bubble hopping and just loading up the game and closing and changing day if he doesn't have the bubble works for you soon?

If he is your most recent move in villager, you won't be able to kick him out via the thought bubble method. Your only hope is to either move out another villager first, then focus on moving out Beardo.. or letting one of your random campers eventually pick Beardo to move out. If you have someone else on your island that you don't mind letting go, that would probably be the easier way rather than dealing with the annoyance that is the camper games + RNG villager selection.

The best option really is to use the Amiibo method. I kicked Raymond out two days after getting him from my island hopping session. :D

You should consider getting one really. The cost isn't that much. It's also worth paying for something that will give you headaches for days.

Oh dear. Did you gift him to someone else, at least? Or is he not worth anything anymore? XD

What kind of TT method did you use?

The best way is to go back in time 15 days, save the game, then go forth 15 days (to the current date).
When someone you DON'T want to leave has a thought bubble, make SURE you talk them out of it and don't just ignore them and close the game.

Because if you talk them out of it, the thought bubble will not rotate back to them again from what I know and it will switch to a different villager each time.

If you don't want to TT too far into the future, just rinse and repeat w/ traveling BACK 15 days, save the game, then travel back to the current date.

Make sure the date doesn't coincide w/ a saturday or whenever KK slider is present.

Based on what I've read, the easiest way to get them to move is to ignore them. You've built up your relationship level with him high enough that that should honestly work. Don't talk to him at all for 15 days. Then see if he's the one walking around thinking and talk to him and he should want to move. You might have to keep doing that. But unlike what Silkfawn said, I had read that if it's someone you DON'T want to move, then ignore them and move ahead a day. Apparently it'll be a different villager thinking of moving, so you should theoretically be able to keep moving forward day by day until he's the one wandering around with the thought bubble.

Maybe I read it wrong, but that's how it goes according to what I read. I'm not entirely sure, because I've only ever told one villager no, and that was just because it was Lobo and I hadn't had him for long, so I didn't want him going yet. Otherwise I let everyone leave when they suggest it. I actually have Alfonso in boxes right now, and I wasn't thrilled that he wanted to leave because he's my only alligator, and I thought for sure either Rex or Merry would want to go since they're part of the first three villagers that moved onto my island, with the "starter homes" or whatever you want to call them, from when you put down your first plots and had to give furniture for them to be move-in ready. And I've been playing since launch!
