Hi everyone!
I've finally got a theme for all of my rooms in my mayor's house.
You guys have had some GREAT item suggestions last time I asked for your help for my explorer's room and my 50's style kitchen. They are slowly being built and I've taken into account sooo many suggestions from here that I would not have thought of otherwise, probably.
So thank you!

On to the point: The theme for my basement will be, A BASEMENT, the storage, dusty kind.
I KNOW RIGHT? HOW CREATIVE!

So I need ideas to make a basement that looks like a basement.
So far I have:

- Cardboard set items
- Bicycle

That's it LOL. Any suggestions welcome!
It's really supposed to look like a messy basement where I hoard stuff, but I don't want it to be too random and mismatched.

Your suggestions:

- Sloppy series items
- Area for potential basement creep (I'm guessing a computer, questionable posters, and a food tray)
- dripping pail
- holiday decorations (christmas, halloween)
- creepy skeleton
- mystery bags
- spider web clock
- trunk
- suitcase
- construction items
- lawnmover
- theremin
- mop
-backpack/sleeping bag
- stepladder
- patchwork furniture

You can use some furniture of the sloppy series, and also put a pair of boxes there. (?)

Don't think I've actually ever seen a basement themed basement on here! xD
But yeah like Rhyrem suggested, I would use some Sloppy items.

You made me laugh a lot with that, Reindeer.
But the sloppy series also fits perfect with that. Furniture that is a big mess.

Make sure to make a corner for the creepy guy that still lives with his parents.

OMG BASEMENT CREEP! Such a great idea!!!

Adding sloppy series items to my list, thanks guys!

I really wish there was a cobweb item to hang on the walls.

Washing Machine, clothes line, antique stuff, dripping pail, a festive tree, and maybe a pumpkin mask.
One of my houses pretty much has a basement themed basement, and the creep that lives in it is a nun that runs the gyroid orphanage.

The dripping pail and the festive decoration are such great ideas, thanks!
I already have the washing machine in my bathroom though, and I'm not fan of the clothes line because the clothes are not to scale (I'm a maniac like that).

Also the gyroid orphanage sounds like a really fun room ahahahaha.

I've always been a personal fan of umbrella's, shirts, oil drums, and a fish I can't remember (I think it was a Giant Snakehead). At least, that was what I had in my Animal Crossing (GCN)'s home's basement, I think. :S

The creepy set skeleton, but make it so that it's hidden behind the boxes and you can only see it if you turn the room. And maybe fit an axe somewhere next to it.
MWUAHAHAHAHA *lighting flash*

Hahahaha I love the skeleton idea so much!
This is gonna be such a cool basement.

Maybe get some mystery bags from christmas too? :) it can look like bags of... stuff... in your basement lol

My favorite basement design I've seen was a creepy skeleton and three 6 lamps so it's 666. And add some other creepy stuff. Or you could go for the whole cluttered look, cardboard boxes and random junk people would keep in their basements.

"questionable posters"
I suggest put a washer and dryer and the creepy wallpaper and flooring I think its called shamwackle or something idk

I'm not sure if someone has suggested this already, but you could consider putting one or two construction items, as if you were working on your house or this suggested the hard work you've already done in your house and in your town.

I suggest cardboard boxes. There's always unpacked stuff down there~
