That is so cool. Last summer I got to go on a tour of an aquarium's facilities in Malta and loved every second. Mind I just spent most of the time snooping around the food prep and quarantine/testing areas.
To be fair those are some of the best areas. ^^
It was a lot of fun! I'm very happy I did it. Very unique work environment, although a lot of the work is stressful, physical and or simple routine.
So I switched, no regrets yet but I could probably go back if I wanted

Fish-keeping is one of my hobbies and I work in the health sciences, so those areas fascinated me most!To be fair those are some of the best areas. ^^

I have actually never had fish at home. Kinda want to start though.
I switched to software development. Less 'cool' but also not as much toll on the body, and I actually have both energy and money at the end of the day.
