Show me some cool bamboo parts of your towns!

Also, how far from the original bamboo do the shoots spawn?

Can't take/post any screenshots of my game right now, sadly. I have a pretty cool bamboo area in my main town of Magnolia: it's above all my villagers' houses on the upper right corner of my map, on the funny little peninsula. It's easily accessed by going right from the Train Station, though the forest, but I think it looks best when you approach from the bottom (after going left of the station and counterclockwise around my whole town). DA is in my sig if you'd like to check it out~

I'm pretty sure bamboo can spawn up to 3 spaces away from the parent plant.

I don't feel like taking screenshots right now, but I put shoots next to bushes. Looks really nice. I don't really sort my starts either, so if you're looking for a recommendation on that, yeah, sorry, can't help you.

They can spawn one or two tiles from the origin plant. Plant your flowers to block them accordingly.

This does look nice! I had a neat little garden of alternating bamboo and Blue Hydrangea bushes, surrounded by purple and white flowers, once upon a time. It sadly got dug up when I started to seriously landscape.

I don't have any screenshots of my bamboo grove convenient, so here's a quick summary. I decided to plant the grove in the southern area of my town to give it an appearance of a more rural area of my town; similar to how towns IRL mostly work. However, that wasn't my main influence for its placement: it's surrounded on three sides by houses and a cliffside, so should I forget to tend to the grove, it'll be semi-controlled until I get around to it.

Bamboo stalks can spawn up to three spaces away. However, they work a lot like trees, so they can't grow if they spawn inside the grove.

Here's one from my little park, I like little bamboo accents every here and there, especially because the roots are such a hassle.

I set up a bamboo grove in the contained southern area of my town. My plan for containing them in there was to surround them with yellow and purple flowers, and also plop a lemon tree or two in there for variation. It turned out way too cluttered looking and overwhelming though. I think the only ways to keep it from being way too cluttered is to use tiles for some of your containment, like RainyinVancouver is doing, or buy a million clovers.
