Bamboo keeping neighbors out?

Does planting Bamboo keep villagers from moving in on top of it?

nope , either way , its going to destroy trees , bamboos , flowers , bushes etc .

Its* i mean , the villager moving in .

no. the only thing they won't move on top of is rocks, houses/buildings, and PWPs.

Nope, only buildings and pwp will keep them from moving into the spots you don't want them to be in. Everything else is fair game for them to move on top of.
