I just went to bamboo Island and all I got was regular bamboo pieces, no young bamboo pieces, has anyone else notice this?

Young Bamboo only appears in the spring. It's a seasonal material

yeah it is even in the name, "young SPRING bamboo." Just thought I'd point that out.

Spring is March, April, and May lmao. Also have to remember that hemispheres effect when players get the material. The spring bamboo however can only be obtained in the following times - February 25th to May 31st in the northern hemisphere, and from August 25th to November 30th for the southern hemisphere.

no, but thanks for asking, before the new update I didn't really travel to the Island much because I always got the same orange island and it got kinda got annoying and now that the islands have changed and i seem to get different islands then before, I'm back to traveling to them and it my first time getting to a bamboo island since new update and I just thought something was off and notest their wasn't any young bamboo pieces, been playing Pokemon Shield since June as well so got busy, never really payed attention to the spring part of the name I always saw them as young bamboo
No problem! Just figured I would ask, if you change your mind just let me or @ Jhine7 know! I got lucky and found it pretty early on, I hadn't realized the spring bamboo was seasonal, but I guess it makes sense.
I also have Shield but I completed it way before this game came out lol I got the DLC but thanks to ACNH I feel like the story line is way too packed with dialogue .-.

I got Shield before ACNH as well, I had bought the Expansion Pack in June and had been doing a lot of raids, glad I'm not the only one who didn't realize that young bamboo was seasonalNo problem!
