Balloon spawn rate nerfed?

Can someone confirm for me whether the balloons spawn rate has been nerfed or not?

Before, in the month for April, I could literally walk up and down my beach and would see a balloon spawn in at the 04, 09, 14, 19, [...] minute mark without fail. (This is only the normal balloon I’m writing about, not the *shudders* Bunny Day event)

I would be digging up clams and would run along my beach at the 4 minute and 9 minute mark and would be able to farm them.

I’ve decided to do some balloon farming just now and it doesn’t seem to spawn every five minutes anymore?

I got one at the 04 minute but didn’t seem to get a spawn at 09 or at 14 minutes.

Can someone confirm? I am also aware of the balloon east to west and west to east change depending on the hour of day.

Please confirm if the balloons are still spawning every five minutes on your island. Answer: They do not.

Thank you to @brockbrock @DJStarstryker @dragonair It seems that the balloons don't always spawn every 5 minutes now like it did before, but sometimes once every 5-10 minutes

I spent 30 minutes and balloons spawned 00, 04, 09, (14), 19, (24), (29) = Not once every 5 minutes anymore

Still getting a lot of balloons, broke my golden slingshot today after spending around 30 hours playing recently. It honestly feels like they spawn even quicker than 5 minutes, haha.

I've had the opposite experience recently...it seems like they spawn a lot more than they used to.

Are you talking about April 1st-10th, or after the bunny day and cherry blossom events were over? The balloons were obviously less after the events, but I haven't noticed any drop in frequency since then. I feel like as soon as I step outside there's a balloon that spawns.

i haven’t noticed any difference - balloons still spawn for me pretty frequently lol

I haven't been keeping track but I would say there's definitely a balloon if not every 5 minutes, then every 10 minutes.

04 and 09 is when they spawn. They should've floated over the ocean enough to shoot them down at 05/10.

I still see them every 5 minutes for the most part. Once in a while it seems to skip a spawn. It happens most often on the hour, and sometimes at 30 after the hour. That's been true ever since that Bunny Day balloon rebalancing patch.

Which would mean that the balloons no longer spawn once every 5 minutes. Which is what my initial question was.

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING INTO THIS! I thought it was odd that they didn't seem to be appearing every 5 minutes like it did before the balloon nook mile reward glitch. I noticed today when I went to actively balloon hunt, it wasn't spawning every five minutes.

I haven't noticed any changes in the balloon spawns either so I think they should still be spawning normally?

I haven't seen a difference. At night its when I mostly work on my island and doing terraforming and I always see balloons very oftenly like always. One time I saw a balloon and popped it. This was all the way on the right area of the island. I decide to leave right. I'm going to my residential area which is all the way to the left that when I reach resident services there's already another balloon floating, like w h a t.

I usually get balloons every 5 minutes when it's windy out. Otherwise it's every 10 minutes.

Not sure if the spawns were nerfed, but the chance for a DIY from them certainly feels less than before.

im not sure since I dont farm them like you, but I spend a lot of time outside landscaping my island and I see balloons constantly. I go through so many sling slots its insane!
