Balloon Popping Badge

I just got the bronze badge for popping balloons - I didn't even know there was such a thing! Now I'm going to get a whole pile of balloons and pop them and see how long it takes to get the silver and gold badges.

Do you have any balloon popping badges? Which ones? How long did it take to get them? Did you know ahead of time, or was it totally random? And does tripping and falling and letting the balloon drift away count as popping them? See, I don't even remember how I popped the balloons, lol.

You'll need to shoot them down in order to count. I found most when I was gardening or gathering fruits. I have bronze still.

Oooooooooh, so collecting a lot of streetpass balloons won't help at all, lol.
Thanks so much for telling me! So do you have the badges? How many balloons did it take - not that you counted, but did it seem like a lot?

I have the gold badge. You need to shoot down 200 balloons. You don't need to collect the gift attached though.

I pretty much kept my slingshot in my letters and if I heard the balloon, I'd get it out and shoot the balloon down. I eventually got the gold badge.

I haven't been keeping the furniture, just selling it at ReTail, so I'm not sure how many I hit down. I say hit down rather than shot down because I've been hitting them with my net when they are going over the cliff.

I have bronze and silver. Working on the gold, it's the only time I'm glad of the silver slingshot spam lol as it gets me 2 pops towards it!

I have the gold too. Just got it and I've played every day since release. I purposely would try to shoot the balloons so the gift would fall on a path and disappear. I hate that balloon furniture. Thonky has a great guide about badges. The one I didn't know was there was the kk slider badge. After getting the bronze, I sat and listened to song after song until getting the gold badge for 100 songs.

If I ever come across a tv you can have it to complete your set, if you still are looking for one by then. I think I will be popping a lot of balloons for a while.

I may go back to shooting down balloons. I'll wait until it's in a part of the town where it'll disappear or fall in the water because I don't really like balloon furniture, and I'm tired of seeing silver slingshots show up all the time. Those things are more common than you'd think they'd be.

I actually just got the bronze badge today. I usually always pop a balloon when I see it. I figure free bells are free bells. I think the system would be like 1000 times better if the gifts just included random items, with a chance of a *rare* balloon item.. it would make finding them that much more exciting and the balloon set might actually be sought after.

They used to include random furniture. I wish they'd bring that back, too, because other than the badges, I have no interest in the balloons, which is a shame, because it could be fun

Lol, thats what I thought too, but it's the balloons that fly over your tpwn. The ones you shoot down with a slingshot.

I have the gold balloon badge. I wonder how much money I made selling balloon furniture?
Plus the 4,879,223 silver slingshots I've shot down. Ugh, sick of seeing those thing, plus they're pretty worthless.
