Badge Queries

I had a couple of questions about the badges I'm trying to obtain, so some tips and information could help!

Turnip Badges - I see that to get the silver one, I need to make 3 million bells worth of turnips. I made calculations and add them up each time I sell them in the week. And by now, I'm certain I made over 4 million bells worth. I do count the bells I made profit from getting the bronze badge (1 million). Phineas never awarded me the silver badge, especially when he came to award me the gold badge for refurbishing with Cyrus. So, I could use some clarification here. I did in fact sold turnips when I went to another person's town. Do they not count there?

Weed badges - Do they not count if you are in a dream or at another's town physically? I havent got past the bronze badge, aiming to get silver. Since I like to keep my town beautiful.

Medalist badges - What tours are the best to look out for, in the event to get more medals in one attempt? I hear the shark one is the best. Aiming to get Silver (1500 medals total)

Visitor/Host badges - When visiting another town or hosting your town to other villagers, do they count if its the same person coming over or going to? Do they have to be different towns/villagers?

for the weeding badge, im pretty sure dreams don't count, but if you're actually in someone else's town and not a dream, it does count towards the badge
medalist badge uh definitely look out for the tuna kahuna tour as it gives like 20 medals per trip if im correct
also the giant dragonfly tour and the elite hide and seek tour (which gives out like 13 medals which isn't as much but still)
visiting/hosting badges it can be the same person coming to your town or you going to someone else's as someone came to my town about 100 times and it counted towards it

penguins pretty much got it, but just for clarification dreams don't count towards your weeding badge. also, pulling up wilted flowers counts as weeds.

I never got my hha badges I've gotten to hold but he never gave me gold OR silver. Not sure why this happened.

For the turnip badge, yes it counts if you sell in other towns. I've only ever sold in other towns and I have my gold badge.

Are you doing the theme challenge? If so, you'll need to cancel that, the scoring is different so it doesn't count towards the badge.

Also one more question involving the catching of bugs, fish and deep sea creatures...

do the numbers count if I catch them on the island?

Yes. I don't think the location matters. There are badges for using equipment a certain number of times, and for filling your encyclopedia; neither mention you having to be in a certain place for it to count.
