It says in the article that Aang(the previous avatar), had a sun. This is taking 70 years after the events of the first anime. So, look at that anyway you want.

Eh... I'm looking forward to this. I mean, it's better than nothing. But I hope they keep the aspects that made The Last Airbender a good show; especially the comedy. Frankly, I would have rather seen a continuation of Aang's journey, but this should be good
