I am assuming this chart only applies to the Northern Hemisphere?

This is great- thanks. When you say river (clifftop) does this apply to any area you need to use a ladder for or just the absolute top of your island?

currently hunting for the stringfish.. pray for my shovel as i hunt all these manila clams for bait

edit: yeeees i got it! the strategy that is working for me is going to a mystery island that has the cliff rivers.. it's easier to have the fish spawn and despawn by running around. it's how i caught the sturgeon and now the stringfish.

The beginning of the river above the waterfall. It's on the second tallest of the island, you can't climb to the number one tallest and there's no water there at the beginning. So yes, technically the absolute top.

Does anyone know how to catch the mole cricket? I've been going crazy hearing cricket noises on my island but I never see anything. Do I dig them up?? How do I know where to dig?

you have to dig where the noise is the loudest. i usually just dig around the spot where i think it might be and it will jump out eventually

thank you for this!! i still need to catch the saddled bichir, golden trout, ranchu goldfish and an ant ;u;

This is excellent, thank you so much!!
Btw, can someone provide a screenshot or visual on what it means by "river mouth"? I'm a visual person and I'm afraid I'll spend forever fishing in the wrong spot x'D I just want to be absolutely sure I know where I'm fishing

Thanks tajikey. Based on my findings, your list looks pretty darn accurate. It's nice to have something like this, since people keep sharing inaccurate information... mostly it's assumptions based on previous games, where the times available and the selling price have been off.

Now I just gotta get that stringfish before it goes away. I managed to get multiple tunas, blue marlins, and oarfish by the dock last night using bait (I had about 45 bait). Bait works super well. I don't know if it makes the RNG better or if it just feels like it because the spawns happen faster and you don't need to run around waiting for them. I need to search for clams and get a whole bunch of bait again for stringfish hunting.

Thanks! Do you have a higher quality version? The board seems to shrink it.. a pdf would be even better to print out.

I can see about printing to PDF. If it works, I'll add a blank column to use as a check box.

Yes, that's correct. Also, I got your PM about the Saddled Bichir. I'll update the grid once I confirm. Thank you.

I caught the Stringfish in the river section just below the highest waterfall, so I imagine it just can't be the bottom level where most buildings are located.

Took me 61 bait and a couple broken poles, but I got the big guy.

You're welcome. I was told the Saddled Bichir might not be available right now. I'll confirm and update if so. I need the Golden Trout and Char.

This is excellent, thank you so much!!

It's the area where the ocean meets the river. I caught two Sturgeon in the waters between the sand, the area you can cross with your vaulting pole.

I LOVE YOU

*Swoon*

I'll see about updating it today and making it printable.

Thank you so much for putting this together! I'm getting the guide, but that won't help for March.

You're both welcome.

byyy the way, what do you mean by clifftop? is it the start of the river at the top of a cliff or just part of the river on top of a cliff?
and the rivermouth is where the river meets the sea? still no luck catching a sturgeon there.

I now only need the Char and Golden Trout as far as fish go, assuming the bichir really isn't available! Still need a fly, ant, and mole cricket for bugs.

Clifftop river means the part of a river that's on top of a cliff (in other words, a second or third level of your island). Rivermouth is indeed where the river meets the sea. The sturgeon is more of in the ocean, but right at that area where it connects, if that makes sense. It is a rare spawn.

With regard to the Clifftop, it can mean both. I caught the Stringfish in the river one level below the highest tier, but it could be available in the highest tier pond-river-waterfall tier, too. And yes, the Mouth is where the river and sea meet. When I'm hunting clams, it's the section of water along the sand I can cross with my vaulting pole. It's sandwiched between the grass and the ocean, if that helps. I have two south river exits, and I've caught a Sturgeon in each one of those.
