It's only because it is a limited item and I want to conserve one for the future in case it goes up in value as new and sealed.

I have also managed to score all of the following amiibo figures today as well.
At least I think I have preordered them all because I receive this message when I click preorder on them again.

Awwwh...All the 'good' limited edition packs (with Boy or Girl Amiibo) are sold out :( I didn't have the money to buy them anyway.


How does the pre-order work with these? Do I pay upfront or only when it's shipped? I've never bought from the Nintendo store directly so I'm unsure since some places demand upfront payment (which I can't afford ATM).


I really want a t-shirt...

It did not say One Per Customer when I ordered it at 3:14pm.
 
The one per customer thing needs to be put into place from the get-go instead of hastily doing it after.

Scalpers are the reason I can't enjoy things like this. Splatoon is possibly one of my most anticipated games this year and I'm not able to fully enjoy it because someone else decided they were gonna take more than they needed to sell off at an inflated price later. =/

I am not gonna sell it off. The Squid amiibo is exclusive to that bundle and I wanted two from the get go anyway.

What I like to do and has worked well in the past for me is make sure that I have the full amount of the preorder ready for the Sunday before the release date. So for this example, it would be Sunday the 24th of May.

This has never failed me and I have four pages of orders on Nintendo Store. ;)

Just some wisdom there for you. :D

Ah. I thought from your previous post where you mentioned you wanted a second in case it goes up in value to be implying you would sell it, if that's not the case then my post doesn't really apply to you, just the people that do that.

It's pretty unfortunate. I really do like the amiibo but the whole scalping thing going on with them is killing it for me. I only have one and that's only because it came with a game(MP 10). The Splatoon ones are already sold out pretty much everywhere over here and I had to resort to getting the yarn yoshi amiibo off of the german amazon.

But it won't end unless Nintendo manages to produce a ridiculous amount of them and try to overstock everywhere in an attempt to lower the fake value of them, which isn't really likely.

I just like to see items go up in value. I wouldn't scalp. I am not that sort of person. I don't like scalpers either as I am a genuine fan of Nintendo.

Yea, I saw that posted by somebody here (on Bell Tree, no this thread).

It doesn't come with anything as far as I'm aware though and since T-shirt's are usually around ?10, it seems that the bundles from the Nintendo store at least justify the difference (especially if you want the shirt).

Don't forget to try out my suggestion.

"Make sure that you have the full amount of the preorder ready for the Sunday before the release date. So for this example, it would be Sunday the 24th of May. This has never failed me and I have four pages of orders on Nintendo Store."
