Is anyone excited about this game? I loved Atelier Yumia and was planning on buying Resleriana but then discovered it has turn based combat. I haven't really tried games with turn based combat so I'm eager to hear people's opinions of the combat and alchemy systems in Resleriana. I'd get it from the library first to try it but it looks like there's no physical Switch copies available (at least in the US) so it would need to be a purchase.

i'm a long time atelier fan. it's turn based combat is pretty intuitive. essentially alchemy items are going to be the most important damage dealing stuff. it's nothing super advanced and the strategy involved shouldn't be TOO different, just think of it as telling everyone what to do in advance and then it plays out. it's not a stiff or clinical retro final fantasy feel if that's what you're worried about.

if you want to know how turn based atelier feels first you might try atelier sophie or the other Mysterious trilogy games while it's not available . i would suggest arland or dusk games but up until about atelier shallie, the games trended harder for new players just because the time limits were not giving a lot of room for anxiety free exploration if you shoot for a true ending. and you weren't really intended to get one the first playthrough and stuff
