Ok I'm typing this on my phone right now but my mind is literally blown right now, watch this video.

Glad you posted about this. I am really into astral projection and have had two successful projections in my time. It changed my perspective on life and death so much. It's so comforting.

So I finished the video and I still don't get the difference between lucid dreaming and astral projection. The way he describes it sounds exactly the same as lucid dreaming.

This video does make me want to attempt lucid dreaming more though.

I never really understood astral projection/lucid
dreaming to be honest. I really would like to try
both of those things, but I don't know where to
start. quq It seems like a really cool concept,
but does it truly work? ovo

Me lucid dreaming would just be thinking the words "do not think anything just autopilot this let the brain go into autopilot and rest completely"

I have had a successful experience of lucid dreaming before and it terrified me but this seems cool but equally terrifying... does your body always naturally snap back to your physical? how long does this last? I don't know the whole hung N really scares me but seems insanely neat and I want to hear more experiences of others before I ever try or think about attempting.

spiritual related things always spark my attention c:

Yeah, lucid dreaming at least definitely works. There's a few ways to do it.

You could develop a habit that's essentially a way to "confirm" reality. Mine was to close my nose and try to breathe in through it. If you're dreaming, you can still breathe. (This is also good for disassociating if its mild). Eventually it becomes so ingrained as a habit that you'll do it in your dreams and then suddenly boom, you're aware you're dreaming.

The more common method is essentially what he goes on about in the video - where you lay your body down and remain as motionless and relaxed as possible for as long as possible. Eventually your body will start to fall asleep but with enough focus your mind stays awake.

If you plan on lucid dreaming though, keep a dream journal. Keeping up with a dream journal will enhance your dream recall and you'll become more aware of what your dreams look like. (Which significantly helps with the first method)

This stuff is fascinating to me. Too bad my dreams are essentially only based on real life stuff (so like anything that doesn't exist irl doesn't exist in my dreams) so I can't make interesting use of lucid dreaming.

Granted, to be honest, I love having weird ****ed up dreams. Like I remember this one I had where it was just the presidential electoral map and Hillary Clinton won everything except California. Trump somehow won California.

>Mexico somehow part of the US
>Trump wins Mexico
>Immediately snap into a lucid state

I could only see this having a negative influence on my life. I used to lucid dream to the point where I was addicted to it and I slept 16+ hours a day. When I wasn't sleeping, I was still in bed just waiting until the next time I'd fall asleep. The last lucid dream I ever had was actually two people in my dream stopping me. They were trying to kill me at first, but I started lucid dreaming to stop them. As soon as I did this, they stopped trying to kill me, just looked at me and said "you can control us" "yes I can, it's my dream, I'll do what I want, now go away!" "No, we're not going to listen to you" and that was the end of it. Since then I was never able to lucid dream again. All my methods just stopped working, and I slowly started getting healthier.

I also have severe reality disconnects and delusions, so an experience like this could potentially put me in a bad enough episode to send me to the hospital. I would love to try it, but I know with my mental state it will only cause harm. I'd be safer doing acid since it won't manipulate my grasp on reality.

I've only had a lucid dream once, 5 years ago. It only lasted about 5 seconds, then I woke up for some reason. I haven't been able to do that again since. Please, help me.

I only astral project/lucid dream by accident lmao

Like I don't plan it, it just happens sometimes. Lucid dreaming's pretty cool but the downside is sometimes I think the events in my dream were in real life and I get confused and have to ask people "Hey did this actually happen or did I dream it?"

I'm terrified to try this because 1.) I don't think I can get relaxed and 2.) I am pretty sure my mind would take me to the most f'd up place and show me the most f'd up things so I mean, I get that enough in my normal dreams and stuff so I mean, I don't need to make it worse.

ALSO my mom had a terrifying astral projection not too long ago, she was at my grandma's house and sleeping in my late grandpa's bed with the dogs and she started hearing a really LOUD wooshing like the noise a jet engine makes so she opened her eyes and she was pinned to the ceiling, like being pushed up onto it, and she was looking down at herself on the bed with the dogs, sleeping soundly, she said she was stuck there for like ten minutes or so it felt then she was back in her body and she popped up and looked around and she was back in bed with the dogs.

Lucid dreaming is simply a dream in which you're aware it is one and control the world around you. Astral projection is an out of body experience.

If it's an out of body experience, I don't believe it's real then o:

I really want to lucid dream, but I haven't been able too.....it seems really interesting lmao

It always amazes me to see scientific minded people not understanding these things. I've been able to experience them from a young age without much effort at all. I was called a liar and a weirdo, so something inside of me has died and I stopped being able to do these things. Thanks for reminding me that I NEED to remember who I was before being bullied. I love how he mentions he was so skeptical before and this has changed his life. I love his energy. I so desperately want that life back inside of me.
