Argh! Why can't we expand our rooms?

I think maybe they kept the side rooms small to keep the windows in the main room and have it make sense? I wish the back room was larger though since there is no reason not to have it bigger. Also when you graph out the house it is one wonky shaped building.

In NL, your house was a little like the tardis. No matter how much you expanded, the outside never got bigger than it is right now

I'd like bigger rooms too. I want my kitchen to be the same size as the main room. There's so much stuff I want to fit in here.

I've also made one of the side rooms a little garden, and I need more space to fit more plants.

I had to force everything in there just to make it work. I want a bigger kitchen and bathroom. They're adding items in the update, but no space!

I'm honestly not bothered by it, because having a huge room overwhelms me. But if they added in expanding rooms as part of an update, that would be great for those who like the bigger rooms.

...I feel like I'm in the minority, I love the small rooms. They're so cozy. And I think it's really awesome that the upstairs and basement rooms are a different shape compared to the rest.

I love tiny rooms since they can be cozy, but I personally would rather have the option of choosing whether you want to expand a room or add a new room like in New Leaf

I want the option. My office room is lovely as is, but my indulgence spa room is...lacking lol.

But I also haven't decorated my basement or upstairs room at all. I know what I wanna do upstairs (once I get more zodiac stuff...) but not downstairs.

I feel like the side and backrooms need to be larger, I hope in an update, we will have larger rooms. My kitchen-dining room and my bathroom is too small and its hard cramming in furniture.

I have a big feeling we will be seeing Lottie and a house upgrade eventually. I don’t mind the small rooms as much right now cause I don’t have all the furniture I’d need for my dream rooms anyway but I definitely feel like I’ll get cramped after a while. I think they will bring the other HHD features to the game as well like ceiling fixtures, changing the curtains, etc. one can hope anyway

Customizing the size of the interior would be a great update. Increase or decrease the size and have the option of a normal room or long room (horizontally and vertically). I'd love to increase the size for one of the side rooms, decrease the size of the basement and make the backroom a long room.

I like the different sizes. I can do some grand stuff in the main room, have cozy side rooms, something fun out back, and still put a loft and full basement in. I think, ultimately, it'll lead to more creative decoration, rather than the same things for everyone.
