Are your dreamies generic?

Not really. I think the only very popular villager who was once a dreamy for me is Tia but I'm not actively looking for her or anything and she doesn't rank very high on my priority list, so I'd no longer consider her an actual "dreamy". My dreamies actually seem to be quite unpopular. That wasn't on purpose (they used to be on the same list as Tia). Different strokes, I suppose.

Some are, some aren't. I've got Rosie and both Lopez and Olivia are somewhat popular. But I also want Butch and Gayle, because like their character design and their interactions with my character. I know the personalities are interchangeable with others of their type, but I've connected with those two, despite their popularity.

I try to limit how many from the top 2 tiers I get. In fact, I am considering swapping out Merengue so I can get Monty as well.

I get who I want, but try to limit the amount of ones who are also popular (Such as Julian)

I had Monty and I was disgusted by him but I saw him walking by main street when and I kind of "aww"'d ! I'm also thinking of swapping Merengue but I'd really rather not

I don't see how it's generic to like popular villagers. You like what you like...so what if a million other people like what you do. I'd think that would make it just a bit cooler since you have something to bond over. There's no right or wrong.

Personally out of the those two I would choose Carmen. I had her as a Starter and she's really adorable. I kind of prefer the more realistic looking villagers in some cases. For some reason I just don't like Chrissy but to each their own.

Don't really care if they are or not. I just love my five favorite villagers, who I may someday let go of.(minus Bob and O'Hare) People care to much about whos popular and whos not.

Not really, I mean Francine and Chrissy aren't that popular, cause people want to have them both or otherwise they will be lonely..? I don't really get that though, cause I had Francine for a long time without Chrissy and now I have Francine in my other town as well, but not Chrissy.
Muffy isn't that popular, I feel like other sheep are much more wanted.
Marshal though is, but I understand cause he's adorable male squirrel.

Mostly my dreamies are generic, in fact, like half of them are Tier 1's! However, there is one Tier 5 in my town, who is my best friend, and I can't imagine a town without him; Biskit.

I think I have both. You got some really popular ones like Marshal, Bam, Whitney and Punchy, but then I have Agnes from all the way down to Tier 5, and Im not really sure of where Dotty-Rolf-Apollo stand in terms of popularity but I think they are kind of in the middle?

I had a lot other dreamies but since most of the ones I got are white-white and black-black (Except for Bam) I decided to keep color as a theme for the rest of my dreamies!

some of my dreamies are t1, but they became dreamies before i got in the fandom and knew who was popular and who wasn't - like, i was very surprised to find that fang is tier 1 apparently? though i kinda knew stitches and ankha were well-liked. but like, fang and stitches wouldn't even have been dreamies if i hadn't started the game with them and gotten SUPER attached.
