I?d always prefer physical copies, because it`s safer if something happens to the 3DS system (in case a system transfer is not possible anymore).

I have the cartridge. I don't particularly like the idea of digital copies. I prefer the physical thing, I guess it's because I'm overly sentimental about certain things...

I now have both. I first got the digital version when the game came out and thought it would be convenient to have all the time. Still prefer the cartridge and I like having the game cases of the series.

Cartridge is for my main town, which I kinda time travel in? The time is set in April so I just time travel to slowly go through the days and if I have a break I can set the time back to what it was before
Digital is for my cycling town, which I don't time travel in.

I have the physical copy because I like having something to keep to myself. If something happens to my 2DS one day, I could always keep the game card until I find the opportunity to buy myself a brand new copy. So in a way it makes me feel safe, I guess (Plus I don't want to go through the hells of developing my town all over again)
