So besides Animal Crossing, Skyrim is basically the only other game I play. I have logged arguably way too many hours into it.

I am not the best played by far, I mean I have to play on the easiest setting because I an uncoordinated and I use mostly two-handed anyways because I really can't aim at all!

I am totally in love with the game though, and play it at any chance, I am actually considering starting a second character even though I am nowhere near complete on my first go around.

Does anybody else play Skyrim much?

I know there are quite a few dream towns with Skyrim town names, so I know they are out there!

Yeees!
My friend asked me to try it a while ago, but I didn't expect to like it tbh, let alone LOVE it. Everything is amazing in Skyrim; the graphics, the storylines, the quests, the characters, etc... I also mostly use two-handed weapons as well, I find them stronger than the others. Really dislike the controls on the PC, but I guess I got used to them. :)
I wish we could play online and join others though. That would be awesome!!

I'm gonna be honest, I find vanilla Skyrim to be extremely boring. I've tried it a handful of times and every one has ended in me sitting there frustrated that Bethesda didn't do better work with the characters. To me it feels like they just wanted to make a huge world, then plonked a bunch of very bland NPCs into it. And the world is pretty, yes. The storylines of some of the quests are interesting, yes. But I need to feel invested in the characters or I have no reason to play a game like that, you know?

Here's where mods come in. With things like Interesting NPCs, custom companions like Inigo, etc I can actually feel like i'm in a living breathing world instead of a stagnant one. It's sad that player-created content is more compelling, to me, than the official stuff - but then again, it's also absolutely amazing that people did so much work for the game almost entirely unpaid (some had donators after the fact). There are expansions worth of extra areas and quests to play around in... and the graphic upgrades let me get the most out of my PC, which I really appreciate.

It's a game that comes alive thanks to player contributions alone, in my experience. And when that happens, it's magical. Otherwise I find it really dull, sadly :(

I agree that Bethesda could have done more, I like playing Skyrim on console still but I do like using mods like the unofficial Skyrim patch on PC to fix the many little glitches left over in the main game and using mods to add quests and NPC's that Bethesda cut. Some player made content is also really good.

I currently play an archer on my game but I have played one handed weapons as well.
