I am and I can't stop LOL my town looks nice but at the same time I feel like I'm missing out on some of the whimsy of the game by ruling my town with an iron fist.

I plot reset a lot and cycle unwanted villagers and buy villagers too. Sometimes it makes my town feel a little artificial even though I love it still.
Do you control your town a lot or do you just let the game do it's thing?

I like to be in control. :D It bothers me when I feel like my town is doing pretty well and then an unwanted ugly villager moves in!! I

I'm not much of one yet because I am still working on getting all my villagers. I don't have a specific spot for villager to move into my town but I still plot reset just in case they move right in my perfect cherry orchard. (I'm looking at you Rasher.)

I'm a huge control freak when it comes to my towns. I plot-reset when new villagers move in and even control where and what kind of flowers are allowed to be planted. Can't say it feels artificial doing so - I just want my towns the way I want them.

I don't plot reset nor time travel and I don't have any 'dream villagers', so I wouldn't say I am.

Well I have a plan. I know which villagers I want in the end, but I don't adopt them all right away i WANT it to take time. So a lot of random villagers move in and I don't mind where they put their houses because I know they will move out again eventually, right now there are 4 houses in my path, it's annoing but they will leave someday. But for my final villagers I know where I want their houses to be and and that's where they WILL be. I don't plot reset but if a dreamie moves in as a random and is in a horrible spot I hack their house somewhere else...
My flowers are neatly organized in the village part and wild growing flowers will be taken out asap. But I also have a huge park area where wild flowers grow all over the place.
I don't time travel at all. Soo I dunno if I qualify as control freak or not xD

Maybe a little. I just plot rest, now. I used to time travel, but after doing that for a while, my town started to lose its charm. Now, I let things ride. The only thing I like to control is the villager placements, since I worked so hard on my town and don't want anyone messing up the layout. Besides, now that I'm doing the "Life In Junes" comic, I want to see what my villagers will say. More often than not, their dialogue is what inspires me. :)

Im a total control freak. I reset for my town map, I plot-reset for villager placement, every path has to be lined with alternating white/pink azaleas, trees AND pink carnations. The paths around the town hall are oh so perfectly symmetrical, I dont give villagers furniture or clothing because I want them as original as possible, same with having all umbrella designs at ables and having everything priced at 999,999 at retail. If a stray villager moves in I want them gone, asap. Yes I'm a super control freak when it comes to animal crossing but hey that's what makes it "fun"
Right....right?

This is exactly me but I miss doing favors for my villagers now I live in fear of them having ugly houses lmao

I buy villagers and plot reset to some extent, but my town is always a mess, no "plan", with junk lying everywhere and I don't care about the originality of my villagers or anything. I'm not overly picky or anything, but I recently got a new game and I want to work towards actually having a town that looks good for once so I'm slightly more picky in this town than i've ever been before, despite the fact that it's a mess right now (i'm waiting till there's 10 villagers I love moved in so I can start landscaping) but honestly I don't know how it'll go, it's so much effort and I'll probably stop and just keep playing it as I usually would

I kept all my villagers in my first town and didn't plot reset. Now I plot reset, but I'm not too picky. I love decorating, and I like paths, but I don't have paths running throughout my towns. I like natural grass, and simple decorating. I guess I'm more picky about my houses. So I guess I'm just a little controlling with my towns.

Well, I do plot reset now that I've made paths, but I usually just let them go into at least an out of the way spot that's convenient for me. I don't really keep villagers either, unless they just moved in or I really end up liking them. lol Guess I'm slightly controlling.

Yeah I'm a control freak, but it has to do with my ''playstyle'' or whatever. I choose what theme I go for, then choose villagers based on it, then plan their locations in my town etc. All of my towns have every aspect manipulated to how I like it, no stray flowers and it's always the time of the year that fits my town.

I'm not for Hearts, but for Sea Cove I definitely am... I do the plot reset 100 times if I have to, TT unwanted villagers to move out, and make sure nothing blocks my path... I even went so far as to cut down all of my trees in Sea Cove because they were blocking paths and potential villager houses (even if villagers can destroy trees with their plots, it still makes it easier for me to mark down the spot so if the plot moves there I know to save).
