I'm in my thirties and have played Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf.
New Leaf is my favorite because there were some pretty fantastic additions, such as the island, awesome new furniture sets, customized furniture, and badges. I do miss my credit card though - it was so convenient when buying Gracie items nit to have to make withdrawals.
I do have two towns. One is a cycling town and the other is my main town. I'm playing as much as I can now because when school starts I will have much less time! I'm a teacher and there will, at times, be weeks between me being able to do more than check in and shop.
I'm 25 and still enjoy Animal Crossing! My favorite thing about it is being somewhere like a doctor's office and politely chatting with another adult then casually popping out my 3DS and having a whole conversation with their kid. I've been playing on and off since the Gamecube version, which I believe came out when I was about 13.
I'm 48 and New Leaf is my first AC game. I have only ever played a handful of modern games, but when pc's were available to the public at an affordable price, I got my first pc, a Commadore 64. My friends had the Vic 80 (I think it was called) and none of us had Apples.
But I missed out by one year the pc classes in Grade School. My brother was in the first year they were offered so today is a pc genius and I'm still a pc dim-wit. Lol! But I love what I can handle.
I felt so old until I found out that other people my age are also here and loving New Leaf!
A large chunk of us fall into the over 25 or 30 to older range. This site particularly more than some I have seen all kids very young. I prefer to play with adults as I am over 21 it is just a comfort thing but we are here.
I know I'm late to the thread but I'm 53 and new to ac:nl. I was hopelessly addicted to Wild World years ago and played City Folk for a bit but was disappointed with it. I think New Leaf is great and my experiences so far have been mostly good. Once when I was on the island someone asked how old I was and I was rather embarrassed to tell her. She said, '53, really?' and told me she was 14 and then disconnected her wifi. Other than that it's been fun.
I'm hoping to find some who don't mind being friends with an older player. I'm in my 30s at heart
I'm 26, and I play ACNL way more than I should. The hour I spend each morning after waking up at 6am, just wandering around for fossils, and checking for hybrids, is therapeutic to me haha. I think I've at least toned down my obsession for this game. When I first got it, I was driving my friends up the wall talking about the randomest things I did in my town that particular day.
It's weird because I could never really get into ACWW back in the day... I think it was the lack of real-world holidays...
My son got me hooked on the game cube version. I've played them all. New Leaf is my favorite. I can't believe I've been playing almost daily for nearly two years. I'm also 43.It's nice to see so many people my age and older enjoying the game.
My mom got into Animal Crossing during the gamecube version. She managed to pay back all the loans on her house, my brother's house, my house, and my sister's house in a month or two! Now she has New Leaf and made over 6 million bells just catching fish and bugs on the island. She's 47 and we play together all the time!
if only my daD WAS LIKE THIS ಠAಠ
I'm a young player (and birthday is in 2 days lol), but it's interesting to see an older person playing ACNL C:
My dad would say that games are boring and stupid, yet he would play Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the iPad and he would laugh whenever he runs someone over or beats the hell out of the police. gr8 role model
I think it kind of divides into the younger group, and I am going to make a big generalization, Under 18, 18-25, and 25 and up..which I fall into being 31. As far as finding people to play with as long as they are over 21 I tend to stick with the more mature players as actual playing friends, which I need to find more of. My fianc? has the game but we never have time to play together and he doesn't use the site, we have way different styles as he's new to the game. So there are a lot of older players you just have to ask out, most of us in that group are looking for people to play with as we don't know many people who play in person.
My mum's 53 and she plays occasionally, only the GC version though, although she has considered getting a 3DS solely for New Leaf. XD
My Dad is 60 and he played the GC one a bit. They both enjoyed the game.
