they're smaller than the main room, yes!
we can't increase the size at the moment. maybe in a future update?
Unfortunately, they are. They're way too small in my opinion. You can hardly flesh out a whole room idea with them. I really do wish we could expand them, since my kitchen could certainly use an expansion.![]()
Yeah, one of the drawbacks of the more streamlined house expansion is that the side rooms are smaller than the main room. I like it for the fact that Nook won't pester us about not having 'properly' completed it, although I wish there was the option to expand them. I do think it might be available in the future, perhaps with the reintroduction of Lottie and Lyle? After getting a certain amount of HHA score you could get the offer to expand maybe?
They are smaller than the main rooms, hopefully it’ll get a bit large after a possible update.
In ACNL you could upgrade the rooms on either side etc couldn’t you? I hope they add it again, the amount of furniture options they have I need huge rooms everywhere!
I am really hoping we will be able to have more freedom for our room sizes in the future. I like the shape of the upstairs and basement, so it'd be cool if we could choose between the 3 different sizes.
they’re about 6x6 when they used to be 8x8. they’re definitely a lot smaller than they used to be which kind of sucks ;u;
Yeah, a lot of us feel a lil... Cheated, I guess. That they had ALL THIS in previous games and they just yoinked it for NH. I want our houses to look like the villagers. I didn't wanna expand fully to change the paint job on my house but here I am.There’s this that I wanna have added but also would love if expanding the rooms gave us the options back for customizing the exterior of our houses! I miss having a full fairy tale house! And I also think it’s strange to not include it since this game put such an emphasis on island design...
