Are green mums, like, really hard to multiply or something...?

A friend of mine gave me the remaining hybrid flowers I was missing, which includes the green mums. I've been watering them every day for 4-5 days now but they haven't multiplied at all. By contrast, the blue roses and black cosmos she gave me have multiplied so, clearly, it's not like I'm not... watering them right or something.

So are green mums just really hard to have multiply? :/

Not for me...my island is literally infested with green mums. I have so many I end up selling them or giving them away

A suggestion: Block all other hybrids from cloning while you focus on one particular hybrid to clone. So, if you want green mums to be your focus, for the time being, block all other hybrids so following game dates show only one hybrid—the green mum—will have cloned.

Extremely difficult, i have like half of my island covers in yellow and purple mums in order to get green mums and it has been like imposible, its been like this for months now !

I found them really difficult as well. They take a very long time. The more you have the easier it is. I think ultimately I ended up going to friends for more of them so I could breed enough. I still think I've only successfully bred like 4-5 of them on my own after all this time!

There's no limit for flower spawns. I think there was a limit in NL. I at some point I did an island cleaning and only had 3 green mums and now I have like 50. I also don't water so it's from my villagers watering and rain.

My first green mum appeared in early August and they didn't do much until the end of that month despite daily watering.That might be due to the extra rain I got in late August/early September.I'm no expert at growing hybrids but I've noticed that some parts of my island seem to be more fertile than other parts.I did have a problem getting that first green mum bud but after moving my parent purple mums to this current location the greenies finally started to grow.They're about to take over Filbert's house.

Just water them every day or if you aren't opposed to time travelling you could TT through some rainy weather. That always gets my flowers out of control.

It is not difficult for me. I have a lot of green mums so I have to put transparent tile near them to prevent them from cloning. Maybe you can have visitors watering for you too? I think that will help.

I think it's harder to breed green mums initially (I think every flower has one color that's "rarest" and hardest to get- with the one exception being if it's your native flower, it's easier, hence why I've got purple pansies galore) but I don't think that applies if you're breeding the actual flowers together. Like, I had ZERO luck getting purple windflowers. But then I got some off someone on here and bred them together and BOOM- purple windflowers EVERYWHERE. Are there other flowers that are breeding instead, maybe? I've only really had trouble when I had situations where I was trying to breed one group of flowers, but because of rain or something, my other flowers were breeding instead.

I found initially, going from 1 - 2 - 4 green mums seemed to take a long time. But now they are multiplying like crazy! So hang in there!

Same, they breed all over the place for me. I had to stop saving them lol. I planted mine with purple mums and it seems to be best.

Mine multiply super well when cloning in a checkered pattern and during the rain. They spread like wild fire during the constant rain in the summer months lol. You could also have some friends come over and water your flowers as well to basically guarantee they multiply.
