april fools day!

april fools day is coming up!! i'm excited because, despite having this game for 4+ years, i've never played on april fools day. i can't wait to finally experience it!!

from what i can tell, you have to know certain facts about your villagers so that you can tell the difference between the real ones and blanca. are these facts told to you by your villagers on april fools day, or on the days leading up to it?? or do you just have to look up the answers?

idk if they tell you facts leading up to April fools day, but I know that last year i just googled all of my answers. I think once a fact was "I have six brothers" or whatever and they never talk about siblings!

I had to look up all of the answers online last year. They seemed to be random facts that the villagers never spoke about. Since the information is unique to each individual, and the villagers have a set dialog based on personality, I don't think it's possible for them to give you clues.

But if I recall correctly, they do talk to you about their neighbors' personal information, saying like "yeah it's April Fool's Day but this one is true", like how you get informed about who's scared of what mask on Halloween.

OH you know what....earlier this week poncho told me that he is the second of six kids and i thought it was strange because he has never said anything like that before...it must be for april fools!! i better talk to my villagers a lot more this weekend to see if i can get some more facts!

this seems like a really fun holiday...and it's an excuse to learn all kinds of fun facts about my friends!

So far only tabby has told me a fact about herself (something about... Tennis oops i wasn't paying a lot of attention) but I'm very excited! This year will also be my first time playing on april fools!

I enjoy getting their pictures on April Fools Day. Even thou they'll tell you random facts, they actually hardly do it. I talk to them normally the day before and only 1, maybe 2, will ever tell me somethin, and it'll be something not useful, like their dream career. I need to know your siblingssss.

Due to the vast amount of errors in the Prima Official Guide for ACNL (I can't go on and on enough about how bad this book is, not surprised Prima went bankrupt) I use online guides, like the one on ACC or I think Thonky? Thonky has been wrong too about amiibo in the past, so now I'm wary of the site.

actually I think they do! today Genji told me that his dream was to become a politician out of the blue. I thought they wouldn't tell me anything because I'm still new so all they're gonna talk about is how to use tools and stuff... I guess you just have to keep talking to them before they tell you anything useful.

yeah, today chester told me that his dream is to become a teacher...so i guess they do tell you, but it's just not as frequent as stuff like toy day hints.

I'm wondering if I should do april fools this year, I've just started one of my towns today so to get their picture's pretty easily on the first day seems a bit off putting.
