April Fools Day Event...

So this is coming up soon..
Is anyone else NOT looking forward to it? only if i say why it may sound concieted LOL. Honestly i think it just devalues the merits of getting villager pics i suppose; i wont lie i have bought some villager pics here and there, but in Azalea i have earned 10 pictures naturally..
It just feels like it doesn't make the getting of pictures special.. its always nice to see houses with pics in knowing they got close to their villagers, and when April Fools happens everyone will have the pics
I think Nintendo should have made 2 versions of each villager pic
1) a generic portrait short of each villager given on April fools
2) a Posey picture, with a special message on the back saying thanks to the mayor, only given if you are best friends

I think that would have been better
Can't wait to see Blanca though, can't believe you only see him/her once a year now

I feel exactly the same way! I usually just end up selling pictures I get through the April Fool's event even if I didn't have the picture originally, as I just feel like I didn't work for it.

I think your two version pic idea is really great!

I like that idea of yours! I've only gotten one picture naturally, and I never bought any other pictures (I won a few in a raffle but I never put them out) so I'm not sure what I feel about the April Fools event. :c

I like your idea xD I hope we can give villagers our picture too! Like you can pay 500 bells for your mayor's tpc pic to be frame and giveable xD I really want my own pic in my office lols~

I get what you're saying! I kind of felt like i was racing the clock with my last villager picture because I wanted to get them all before I was handed them easily.

but now i'm going to get handed filbert and sprinkle and maybe roald's =__=...but i actually already had sprinkles picture because the friend that gave me sprinkle gave me her extra photo xD

It would be awesome if there was two types of pictures! Or even just a simple solution could be that there is some kind of different prize for april fools rather than pictures. But now im thinking about a two-tier picture system where you get cooler pictures when you are better friends with them, that could be neat.

I'm looking forward to it actually. I don't let people leave without getting their pics. It's the rules.

My last town lasted about two months and I only got 2 pics, from my dreamies who weren't allowed to leave ever, and had the same 10 villagers and it got stale. I'm excited to be able to let people go this time. My villagers aren't the best. Not the worst either though!

I'm collecting a bunch of villager pictures for my museum displays. April fools helped me collect pictures of my my current villagers. The ones I earn from becoming their best friend I display in my house.

If you guess incorrectly about a villager, do you get another chance? Or, do you lose out completely on getting Blanca's picture then? I messed up on Lolly and don't know whether to quit without saving or not.

Also, outside of a guide, how can this be anything but guesswork? I talk to my villagers all the time, but I haven't gotten any clues. I got a lot of clues for the Christmas event.
