Anything you dislike/hate about X & Y?

There's no way to take off the roller skates regualry, you have to pull your itemfinder to walk around normally with the circle button.

Also, what's the point of having roller skates when the running shoes and bicycle exist?!?!

I already explained that there is a way to take roller skates off regularly. You press the control pad instead of the circle button and it switches you to walking. As for trying to walk with the circle pad, that's not really necessary.

I don't really hate anything about the game so far.

Interestingly I was coming here to see if anyone else felt the way I do in relation to X and Y. I have to say, this series is a let down. It doesn't hold my interest like Black 2 did especially since they removed medal rally, the grottoes, POKESTAR!, etc. I really really liked Pokestar, that was a lot of fun and the pokemon trainer pr video's are lame. I have no drive to want to play the game like I did with B2. Having said that, here's the big things that bother me:

1. Removed gameplay features (grottoes, pokestar, medal rally, etc)
2. Idiotic non-controllable camera
3. Ugly and unnatural movements of the playable character
4. A camera feature that totally ignores the true beauty of the game by forcing static positions
5. Boring story
6. Charging money for PC boxes and transferring pokemon between game generations

- This last one is a huge irritation. As an IT professional who works with data and databases (among other things), I can give you a professional guarantee that Nintendo's excuse about size is bull****. Charging for the ability to transfer pokemon when the system and programming is already available is greedy. Nintendo is envious of the residual revenue streams that other publishing houses have.

This is Nintendo's attempt to get customers comfortable with paying for a subscription service. Given the very little data that makes up the "PC Box", 5 dollars is too much money. Having said that, it won't be long before 5 dollars a year turns into .99 cents a month (more than double 5/year). This is a distraction tactic companies use to get you accustomed to the practice of paying for something that doesn't need to be paid for (there's plenty of space on the cartridge and the 3ds/memory card itself). They're employing consumer psychology techniques which are known to manipulate consumer behavior.

An example of these technique's is to entice you to buy more at a grocery store. When presented with two deals, "buy 2 get 1 free" vs "33% off", consumers think the "buy 2 get one free" is a better deal, when in fact they're the same. The 5 dollar offer from Nintendo is perceived to be a good deal, when in reality we're being asked to pay for something that doesn't have to cost anything. Given the incredibly small size of the database file (do not include images or programmatic behavior, that exists in the game itself), and how cheap it is to host a cluster of application and database servers, 5$ per person per year is ridiculous. Especially given how this system doesn't NEED to be an internet based system.

I wish shinies were a bit commoner than 1/8xxx, its a little frustrating.

I didn't like it how Furfrou forms didn't show in the pokedex. I also wish there was more post-game content, including better levelling zones. What is the point of the bicycle in this game anyway?

Thanks for the economics lesson, but $5 a year/99 cents a month isn't really that much. A hobo could pick up a five dollar bill and pay for it, lol. And you get more boxes than your PC can hold from what I can see with this, so it's worth it for people that need the extra space. Also, it's optional, unlike something such as Obamacare in the US, so it's not like we're forced to pay it.

EDIT: I agree with all the other points though, except boring story. I thought the story was great and not dragged out too long like in Black and White-Black and White 2

What is it with Attract now as well? Whenever its used on me I don't get a single attack in at all. It wasn't this hard core in previous games.

I've really loved and enjoyed most parts of X/Y. I think the game looks gorgeous, I'm getting the hang of roller skating around, and I actually like the changing camera angles - I find that the preset camera angles are pretty smartly placed and I don't have trouble navigating at all.

My main gripe is the lack of a screenshot feature, especially with so much lovely scenery and the ability to sit on benches and chairs and look side-to-side. This combined with dynamic camera angles makes the game seems meant for a screenshot function, it's a real shame that there isn't one.

This is actually the exact affect I was elucidating in my explanation. The price of the service will be incrementally increased until it's closer to the average cost of other online enabled services. They'll bundle services together and make the "Nintendo Network" a similar service to "PlayStation Plus" and "Xbox Live" and charge a comparable price. If they were to start off asking for 49.95 a year, or 9.99/month, there'd be an uproar. It's the froggie in the pot of warm water scenario.

Again, the space thing, is not a big deal as they make it seem. The PC box is really no different than a small (I consider 4000 rows to be small as it represents a small data footprint) spreadsheet with rows and columns (rows being pokemon slots, columns being the stats of that object). The size of that file would not be larger than 1mb and again, there's plenty of space on the cartridge/system/SD card to place the data. There's no real need for a server ONLY based solution, unless of course you're trying to create a service which generates perpetual income.

I don't like how early you get the exp share. This thing made the main story a breeze. I know I could always just turn it off but it's so tempting to just leave it on. When games force me to try it's more of a challenge. Next run through I do is gonna be a nuzlocke without exp share.

Funny you mention this, but several months ago Iawata admitted that they were intentionally making games easier. He cites that their research shows that fewer and fewer gamers can complete level 1 of super mario bros. He also claims that the gamers requested access to weapons and tools to make the game easier and earlier. You can read more here:

Yeah, I agree I liked it more when you had to earn the exp. shares in certain parts of the game before.

I'm still a bit upset they don't show your leading pokemon outside their pokeball behind you anymore... :/ I miss talking to my Typlosion...

I'm also a bit annoyed about the whole style/outfits thing. I get it's nice to make everyone different, but I hate that you cannot access some areas because you aren't 'stylish' enough. (Idk, maybe it's a Japanese thing...)

Why are you bringing politics into this? Seriously -_-

I do agree with the rest of the point though.

I actually kinda like team flare, they're very entertaining. They like to do things, IN STYLE!

Also I defeated these two admins, one admin just kinda looked mad, but the other admin freaked out and fell to the ground (this was after I saved the power plant)
