Y'know, things like the ambiguous location of your town on Earth. The globes you receive on Earth day and Katie are of this planet, and the world map that Katie gives shows this as well. Gulliver also travels to modern-day places like Spain, Norway, and so on and so forth by sea.

Or maybe how you can't write back to your mom or dad. The only letter I keep from my in-game mother reads:

Darling Kyle,

As if in a dream, I saw your home and how you're living.

But I couldn't see you. How bittersweet.

Still, a lovely town! - Mom

If that doesn't make you want to write back to her, I don't know what would.

Maybe being able to catch a frog from the pond and have a frog as a villager, or being able to fish a turtle out of the river and talk to one on the Island seems weird to some of you.

Is there anything along these lines that you guys can think of? Just some food for thought.

t r i p p y , man. I just think the location is kinda weird, like where would it be? I came to believe we live in a community inside the Bermuda triangle.

I've always been a bit bothered by how we can't write back to our parents; I've never been sure why that is.

Y'know, back when I played Wild World, I thought the "write a letter to your future self" was actually an option to write a letter to your mom...I'm not even sure why I thought that, but I was a bit disappointed when I found out otherwise.

1. There are no toilets
2. Some villagers know their existence is only a virtual reality and not one of the real world
3. The animals cannot differentiate a potential mayor to a mere child
4. Children have to own a house and pay mortgage

Definitely the fact that we can't write back to our family. On Mother's Day she ASKS for a reply, and I can't do it... I imagine my in-game mother at her house sending letters eternally without ever getting a response, and starting to lose hope she will see her son again... Omg I'm sad now ;_;

Another thing that really bothers me is how fish and bugs don't seem to be sentient animals like the villagers, yet you can catch octopi and frogs, which are also villagers. Like, why would Octavian, Marina or Zucker visit the aquarium? That is disturbing actually.

How can lions, wolves, tigers or penguins survive eating exclusively fruit?

And finally... Where does Isabelle live? In the Town Hall?

Not being able to write back to the letters the in game 'mom' sends really gets to me as well. It doesn't make any sense, all they needed to do was add the option when you go to the post office to 'send to mom'. A little thing like that would really improve the game I think....

And why do the villagers in our town have no memory of the villagers who moved out/lived there previously? They can be best friends with somebody and then once they've moved out they're never mentioned again. Ever. They're even wiped from the list on the plaza tree (really wish they listed all past villagers there, just for a proper history of the town).
That one actually really gets to me....just like they never existed....

Does Digby actually live with Isabelle in the town hall or something?
Why isn't there a school or anything?

I think it's quite unhealthy to only live off of fruits and sweets.

At the start you're expected to live in nothing more than a shed.

You just barge into other villager's homes whenever it suits you and they do the same.

None of the NPCs seem to live anywhere.

Geez, our noses.

The fact that you don't have at least an iPhone, eek! :p

The fact that we never, ever talk.

And a lot more, believe me, I love Animal Crossing, but it very unrealistic.

The fact your player can only really eat fruit and cake and can't have anything else like noodles.. it'd be pretty nice if they could have ramen like imagine having some ramen in a ramen shop or something.. or probably noodles if it was to be localized. Anyway I just wish they could eat something other than that. Also what bothers me aswell is the players hands. I never noticed it before but they literally look like nubs no joke.. it bothers me because how on earth are they holding a watering can or other tools. It just doesn't add up. Personally I like that we don't have much technology in animal crossing because it represents that vibe that it's always had from the beginning: a player moving from the big city (or assumed to be) to a small animal village.

The fact that when another villager is over another villagers' house they never conversate with said villager. They both just stand there really awkwardly.. that honestly doesn't look like hanging out. I'm pretty sure in ACWW whenever they'd have birthday parties, they'd occasionally conversate with another but now they don't?

I've mentioned this before but very few villagers in the game actually wear pants. The rest of 'em are au naturel from the waist down.

that really irks me too! How is it even really a history of the town?? Would it really be that hard to list them all?

The fact that we never, ever talk.

This bugs me to no end!

Also, the fact that we are the mayor, yet Isabelle runs the whole show. If we are her boss, how can she demand we speak to her from behind the counter, for one? And why do we essentially have to ask her for her approval for PWP locations? And she limits us to how many we can have? We can't enter town hall unless she's in it (like when she's in the plaza for special events)? Wow... I think I have some strong resentments for Isabelle going on here lol...

my same thoughts! it kinda feels like there's some sort of hierarchy going on in town. especially since the humans are the only ones who need to pay mortgage. :/

Isabelle's probably just bitter because of her sucky job. She seems to live in the Town Hall and she never gets any breaks. She doesn't even have a chair to sit in. We're terrible bosses tbh, I don't blame her one bit for trying to make our lives more difficult when she can. XD

As well as not writing to our parents, we can't reply to Isabelle.
You can't build things on the beach.
The housing upgrades are confusing.
How can you catch an octopus and have one in your town?

It also annoys me how we can't start conversations. We don't even speak. Why is that? Would it have been difficult to add a small amount of dialogue?
Why can't we ask villagers to come over instead of them asking?
Why can't we give them gifts just when we want instead of waiting for them to ask?
Drives me mad....hope they add it in future games

Yeah the not eating bugs me. The mayors shouldg et hungry!

There is no point of eating fruit. I'd think they would have put in some kind of gain by now.
