Anyone's Marshal like this?

I just recently obtained Marshal, a few days ago Marshal invited me to his house. So the first thing I do getting there I buy a piece of Sloppy Furniture, I bought the sloppy chair. I didn't really check much else. However today after time has passed and his room has changed, problem is he wouldn't let me buy most things. Is Marshal's room like this? The only things I could buy were the clothing, I forgot to check the umbrella and I couldn't reach the coat-hanger. Everything else he wouldn't let...hmmm.... I know some villagers won't let you buy such things, but I am just wondering.

Fish (I know you can't buy this lol)

Washing Machine (I know you can't buy this, it's one of his personal items like many villagers)

Table (He said why and I know lol)

Bed (Where the Sloppy Bed once was)

White Katana (Where the Sloppy Sofa once was)

I also tried the stereo, but I know you can't buy that because it's playing music.

I bought his sofa, bed and chair, I don't know why he wouldn't sell you anything... Generally they never let you buy fishes and bugs (unfortunately), but that's all I know :/

Ah, maybe because he comes from another town and these pieces of furniture were gifts from the mayor of his previous town, and he doesn't want to give them? Seems a little too deep x)

No, with the past mayor he was 100% original. I gave him those things. :/

My villagers haven't really done that to me except for Gladys who came from two different towns before me and so her house is a mess. I tried to get a few of her things but she wouldn't sell it. I think it is because those items haven't been in your catalog yet? That was my case at least. I don't know.

Well I gave him those items, some he bought off me. They are in my catalog.
Maybe because hes from another town IDK? He was 100% original. I've never had this problem before, hmmm.... Thanks though.

It might have been that you didn't have enough money in your pockets, once I had 2,000 bells in my money slot and a 16k bell bag, and was trying to buy a table, wouldn't let me buy the first time, then I added the 16k bag to my money slot and bought it

This is how much I had in my pocket at the time, good thing I had a snapshot. This is when I bought one of the shirts of clothing.

I had 700k in my pocket.... that actually might be the reason why he wouldn't let me buy the white katana (The price being 10k - 30k) and maybe also the bed (but IDk with the dialog he said, sounds like he didn't want me to buy it). But this does explain a lot, thank you!

No there was plenty of room, plus I bought the shirt after I couldn't buy anything else.
