I've easily hit the storage limit each time it's been increased. I've been at 1600/1600 for awhile since the final upgrade, so yeah, I'd definitely prefer a lot more storage space, lol. Doesn't help that I basically hoard everything I get and store it right away, unless I end up needing to clear out more space.
Anyone want/need more storage?

Now that my storage is at 800 capacity I’m doing fine—what really bothered me though is how the lower storage limits forced me to throw out (aka sell) a bunch of cool stuff I would’ve wanted to save.
I understand and even appreciate the realism between a bigger house equaling more storage, but I think most of the storage expansions are much too small—almost insignificant—in comparison to how much stuff the average player amasses in a few weeks of playing. Up until the 2nd to last upgrade, I would run out of space within a day or two of getting the increase.
If it were an option, I would’ve rather spent money on just increasing the storage than getting additional rooms. It’s not like they’re even big enough to store things that way lol

I think I'm at around 550/1600, but I am keenly aware of storage. Plus, my entire upper floor is just filled with stuff for HHA (and since I don't know what to do with that space yet).
I'm pretty sure more than half of that storage space is full of clothing. I can't remember how much storage there was in New Leaf and if there's more or less in this game, but it seems useful and stressful at the same time to be able to see exactly how many items you have left.

I have a second character for materials and she replenishes my outside stock I have sitting on tables near my DIY bench
I'm feeling this so much lol. I need to keep like 200 different clothes I'm never wearing but I like + different colors variations + 200 more female clothes just in case I decide to give them to some of my female villagers + the different colors variations to be able to choose which one I think looks better on them + same story with male clothes I don't like but I think could look good on some of my villagers someday
I just try to be aggressive about paring down re-orderable items that I don't have plans for... I can always get them later, but have a bad habit of squirreling random Nook's purchases away.
And hoarding re-orderables I don't even want, idk, in case I change my mind someday or start to get into online trading?
