So, I've become disenchanted with my current town idea and am thinking of starting another to apply everything I know now that I didn't know a month ago in designing something unique (as unique as a small pool of PWPs will let us be, aye?) and pleasing to look at. I was thinking of making a Modern town based off of the classical/romanticized perceptions of Venice or Florence, Italy.

The first step would be a name. I want to do use the usual AC fallback of naming the town after plants or fruit or something to that extent -- like Grapeleaf or Whiteivy or... something. But I want it to be in Italian and I'm reluctant to Google Translate something up.

I wouldn't mind design ideas either, if you have them, as the game won't let me throw a bunch of vineyards everywhere. Really surprised we don't have something like a caf? table PWP though...

Suggestions?

Open to suggestions if you can think of something that'd fit in the character limit! My Italian is limited to a playthrough of Assassin's Creed 2's trilogy. xD

I think Foglia is Leaf in Italian and Uva is Grapes in Italian. I only took two months of Italian.

The more I think on it, the more I realize how difficult it'll be due to how Italian grammar is constructed. That and the 8-character limit for a town name. This has left me referencing single words, mostly of the plant or food variety. The best I've come up with is "Ortensia", which I guess is 'hydrangea' in Italian? Pretty much seals the deal on what the town bush needs to be if I go with it. Haha.

Though I haven't checked the Dream Repository, I'd be very surprised if there were many or any of this name at all. So that's a plus, if so.

One of my friends took Italian classes so that might help.
According to him Piccolo means the little one, referring to an object. (maybe a little town?) He said it would be a good one.
I also found some adjectives, nouns and verbs only that you might want to use. (from an native italian so the grammer should be good I think)
