Anyone play Persona 5?

I haven't tried it, but the artwork for the game looks really cool. Would you recommend getting the new version or getting the original version since they aren't very expensive right now? I don't really know how much new things are added to the remake.

It’s amazing! I would get the updated version, it’s very story driven and the fights can be challenging. A lovely cast of characters too! You’ll love it!

This is my same dilemma. I played thru the first area of Persona 5 on a friend's system, then decided to play Persona 3 Portable since I didn't have a PS4 of my own. I'm now almost done w/ that game and due to current events I am home from school, where my brother's got a PS4. So now I'm in the market for Persona 5, but I'm not sure if the Royal is worth 40 dollars more than the original

I'm a really big fan of the Persona series and really loved Persona 5! I got it right on release day and didn't stop playing until I beat it. I'm planning on getting Royal tomorrow (I was gonna get it tonight but I have DnD TT v TT) so I'll see how much I like this one as well!

persona 5 royal is an updated version of the OG persona 5, and for now I think you should get royal as it adds more onto the vanilla game and i personally think it's better to experience the royal version than vanilla.

the royal just adds so much into the game and if you played vanilla before royal (like i did) it kind of ruins the surprise of royal's storyline.
maybe wait for a discount or sale? the royal is definitely the best version of persona 5 especially if you're new and don't know anything about the story

I played the original version. While I enjoy both versions very much. I have to agree with twentyonepilots that playing
the original version would kind of ruins the surprise of royal storyline. I won't say it is a waste but for someone who has
not played the original version, it is better to just get the royal version. Original Persona is already very enjoyable to me,
the royal version adds more extra enjoyment.

Without a second thought, get Royal. It's more than worth the extra bucks, the additional content is absolute genius. It has a million new small additions that I could never list, but overall it turns Persona 5, an already perfect game into an absolute genius experience you couldn't experience otherwise.

I just finished Royal and all I feel is emptiness. And I've played the vanilla version like 7 times before.

Haven't picked up Royal yet, but it's on my radar. I've heard there are a lot of new additions so I'd probably pick up the newest version unless you're super strapped for $

finished playing royal, and i have to say please buy royal instead of vanilla. it is truly the definitive version of the game and you will be missing out on a lot if you play vanilla first
a lot of the surprises will be ruined if you play vanilla first

Royal's great, I'd say it's worth the price despite being more expensive than the original Persona 5. It's like Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 FES where tons of new content is added for an enhanced experience.

I like Persona a lot, if you couldn't tell.

I absolutely love Persona 5 to the point that I bought the other ones I could get in PS3. Going for the one with the expanded content is probably the best since it's the kind of game you'd probably replay multiple times.
