Here's the trailer, if you haven't seen it.
Looks really cute, and Diamond was my first game, so I'm getting pretty excited! It's supposed to release later this year.

i'll get one of them if i can afford it, but im not sure which one yet ; o ;
on one hand i want to get diamond cause i prefer dialga as a legendary pokemon on the box, but on the other hand i feel like i should get the opposite version of the one i played back then. I don't know why i just think it would be interesting to pick the opposite so in a way i will have experience with both versions in one way or another

I will for sure be getting one of them at launch. It will probably end up being Diamond, since that was the one I originally got back when they first launched. I'll most likely end up with Pearl on my other Switch though at some point, since I've never been able to buy only one game of any generation I've played.

I'm most likely going to get it. I liked DPPt but they are just so agonizingly slow that they don't hold up well compared to all of the other original gens. If the remakes improve the speed of the game, then that alone would be money well spent for me.

i plan on getting one of them! probably pearl because that was the one i played as a kid, but i'm not entirely sure yet. 😅 i'm a little disappointed in the look of the game if only because i was really looking forward to the underground in Glorious HD since the galar mines (as underused as they were) were some of the prettiest areas in sword/shield (and because the chibis look kind of awkward; it might have been better if they were structured a little more like the chibis in story of seasons friends of mineral town, maybe? something like that).

other than the minor style nitpicks, i'm really excited for them! i love sinnoh and my friends were super excited for the remakes so i'm looking forward to being able to play in sync with them and do contests together

If I had any interest in Sinnoh games, I would be picking up Pokemon Legends: Arceus. I am not sure if that is considered a remake or not honestly. LD/SP ones I don't think look bad, but I sure do miss the pixel art pokemon games. I feel like the pokemon appeared more lively in sprites than polygons.

Probably not. Don’t like the player models. I can always play my diamond and pearl or platinum copies whenever i want since I still have them and my system.

As much as I love and miss Pokemon, the remakes to me aren’t important for me to have since I still have the originals. Also kinda wary about getting any new pokemon games aside from Pokemon snap after the stuff I heard about sword and shield (didn’t play them; last christmas i was debating asking for them before i found out about the stuff people weren’t happy about).

Heck yeah! I wasn’t able to play any Pokemon games until I turned 18, so there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t know or missed out on.

I was disappointed by Pokémon Sword & Shield in a lot of different aspects, so I'm feeling pretty burned by the series and frankly hesitant about the upcoming games. I intend to wait a while and see what sort of public opinion forms about these remakes before I decide for myself whether I will bother to purchase or not, and the same goes for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

That said, if I do end up getting them, I'll be looking forward to seeing whether the remake treatment will improve my opinion of Sinnoh. As it is currently in the Generation IV games, Sinnoh was among my least favorite regions. I honestly would have preferred a more Sun & Moon sort of style for the character models and environment, but I can live with the chibi models.

Oh heck yeah! I've played Pokemon Pearl way back in 2008 on the DS Lite and that was the game that got me into the Pokemon Franchise. Probably will get it in December 2021 when its on a holiday sale, because games these days are getting expensive.

Yeah, I'm probably getting Brilliant Diamond. But not both because Switch games are expensive.

While I am waaay more excited for Legends, I am most likely going to get thd remakes because of it being so long since I've last played the game. While in the beginning when I first saw it, I snuffed at it and thought "Nah, it looks meh" and was totally hyped for Legends because of it being so different, I realize that it may not come out for another year so grabbing the remakes to keep me occupied is what will most likley happen lol

I'm planning on buying it, but I'm not too enthusiastic about the remakes. I was sort of expecting...a bit more--and a single game. I'm not sure what to expect, but from what I've seen so far, I'm not expecting much difference aside from the graphics.

I'm a bit disappointed with the direction Nintendo took with this remake and was hoping they would recreate Sinnoh in a SW/SH graphic style (similar to how ORAS stuck to the XY style). I suppose I understand their reasoning behind wanting to keep the game as similar to the original as possible (to avoid excessive backlash), but I was really hoping for an upgraded story and game mechanics. Regardless, I'm a sucker for Pokemon so I will be buying this game, plus the legends of Arceus game the following year. I'm hoping the remake will at least somewhat satisfy me since I really loved the original DP/Platinum games.

I just placed a preorder on Amazon a few days ago for Diamond.

I think the games could look better (the Arceus one could look better too)...but, I will always buy and play anything Pokemon. It's just an incurable disease that I have. Lol.

Yessss of course. I don't care about the graphics I just want a proper game not sold for overprices, lmao.

Yes absolutely! I lost my Nintendo DS version of Pearl so I'm super excited for a remake. I'll probably get Diamond this time.
And Legends of Arceus looks good, I'll get that as well.

I'll definitely get one of the remakes because I'm a slave to the pokemon franchise. I was a little skeptical about the lil' chibi characters, but the old games had the little sprites so it's not a big deal. Think I'm just a bit spoiled after playing all the recent games with the detailed character models.

Plus I remember thinking May's sprite from Ruby/Sapphire looked like they had a permanent 5 o'clock shadow:

So it's an improvement on that I suppose.
