Anyone not build the campsite?

I'm just curious because every dream town I've been to has a campsite and I'm wondering if anybody decided not to have it, and why?

i have it because why not. i think that people don't build it because they want only 8 or smth villagers and not 10. (campsite adds a villager to max population and another if you tell a camper to move in)

you can still get 10 through wifi/streetpassing

i think most people do not want the campsite because it's an eyesore when there's no campers. It's also permanent so you can't remove it once it's placed so some people have put off placing it until they know exactly where they want it after landscaping.

I almost considered not placing it because I thought another public works project might be a better choice since there's a limit. I did end up adding it though because I like to see who will show up, and I can interact with them if I choose.

I have an all frog town and I don't really need the campsite since my town is all one species and the chances of me having an open slot and then having a frog villager that I don't already have show up in the campsite are pretty slim.I still might build one eventually,though because it's one of my favorite PWPs.

I'm considering not building it in my new town because I could just adopt villagers from here or on FB.
I've never really picked up a villager from the camp anyways so it hasn't been much of a benefit for me.

yeah, ive never really gotten a villager from the camp as well, i think there was only one time where one of my dreamies was camping but i was already at 10 villagers so.. yeah..

the responses are quite interesting, i've picked up almost all of my villagers via campsite so i love it haha and it adds interest so i can see the vast array of villagers i may not have in my own town. it is important to note that i don't trade villagers or anything because i'd find it pretty stressful, so it's really the only way i have.

I thought everyone would build the campsite since it also helps with achieving a perfect town? But I have it and I like it and it looks nice when it's up.

I didn't build it for several months and that was probably a mistake because I got 4 of my wanted villagers out of it once I did build it. The reason I put it off was because I didn't understand its function hahah I thought villagers camping in your town was a cute idea but essentially pointless, not realizing they could be invited to stay. -u-' And even now with a full town I can still use it for bells whenever a lazy villager shows up, and plus it looks cool where I put it, so yeah the campsite is great in my opinion. :>
