or their drama counterparts?

i've been into them lately! i started with mdzs/the untamed but the one i fell in love of was heaven official's blessing/tgcf. if you have any recs i would love to hear them~

The only donghua I've seen is MDZS which I love, but I do prefer the novel. And the chibi series aaaaaaaa. I'm interested in TGCF too, I might read it after I finish watching it :) The next donghua I'm gonna watch is Mo Du, whenever that comes out

Finally, my time has come! My half-Chinese self is so ready and I’m about to sound like a huge nerd. I hope that classifying Chinese dramas and cartoons are okay as this thread is the closest thing to it. Here goes!
For TV dramas/shows:
- Ashes of Love (香蜜沉沉烬如霜) - it’s on Netflix and is a novel of the same Chinese name, would ever so highly recommend! It’s very very popular in China. It revolves around an ancient forbidden love story between gods and it fits so many genres like comedy, action, reincarnation, tragedy, and romance. The main character is a bit of a Mary Sue but at the same time it pulls on your heartstrings so many times. It’s also a bit funky on the CGI but the scenery is so breathtaking and ethereal! Definitely a 11/10)
- Eternal Love (三生三世十里桃花) - it’s also on Netflix and has a novel which is called To The Sky Kingdom in English and is the OG when it comes to Chinese love dramas. In fact, my own ACNH island name is based off of the forest which the story kind of revolves around. I haven’t finished it, but I know it’s also about a love story between gods. The main character is way more independent and strong than Ashes of Love.
- Scissor Seven (刺客伍六七) - is also on Netflix and is a funny donghua incorporating mystery and romance, revolving around a guy who tries to become a villain but accidentally ends up doing good things to other people every time in a funny way. He is a also a stingy barber and fights villains with boomerang scissors. Definitely should give it a go!
- Rakshasa Street (镇魂街) - I found it on Youtube! I haven’t watched the live-action show, but definitely give the animation a go! It revolves around 2 brothers who try to make a living and see spirits wandering the streets with bad guys targeting them for being the last members of some special family.
- A Love So Beautiful (致我们单纯的小美好) - It’s also on Netflix! I haven’t finished it, but it’s very cute and reflects a clumsy high school girl trying to get her classmate/neighbor’s attention at school. The theme song is very catchy and adorable!
