Anyone know why I haven’t had Redd yet?

I’ve talked to blathers and he’s told me about the art- but i still haven’t had Redd visit for some reason? I thought it could’ve been because of interference from other visitors/events as the first day after talking to blathers I had kicks, the second day I had K.K slider and the third day it was a villagers birthday. However, after logging onto my island today there is still no sign of Redd or even any other villagers/events.

I think it can be random for everyone spanning 1-3 days after update? I might be wrong though!
Make sure to check everywhere on your island, maybe he was hiding? lol

I got lucky I guess and he was standing right next to Lief. Then, the day the museum reopened, he was standing in the plaza again.

Edit: I'm not saying that to dunk on you but to say what I believe the normal behavior should be. Others might have had a different way he showed up.

I had Redd for a second time today - with his trawler - even though it is Katt's birthday. Hoping he shows up for you soon. Some people were buying original art from other towns to make Redd spawn regularly - if you really want him, maybe try that?

I had Redd for a second time on Saturday, so K.K. doesn't prevent him for showing up, just so you know.

He wasn't anywhere near my plaza either of the two times he showed up for me. I found him wandering around other parts of the island.

Yeah, the first time I found him, he was wandering around my beach nowhere near the plaza. If you missed him the first day after Blathers mentioned expanding then I'd recommend going the route of buying art from someone online and donating it to trigger the museum upgrade.

Sadly there appears to be a major bug in the game
