Anyone else with a drifting joy con? Need emotional support here

I actually purchased a kit on amazon to replace the stick and it wasn't hard at all! Now it works great and I'm just so so happy about it, for 12£ I got two sticks (so one more if in the future it will start drifting again) and all the tools needed, that may come in handy even for other things

Same boat with the drifting issue.
Is getting worst and worst, so I have to play docked with a pro controller almost all the time...is better than nothing, but I'll like to be able to choose and there's lots of games I prefer to play on the go (or just in my bed, I'm lazy ok 😆). Is frustrating to think that even if I repair them or buy another joycon it will drift after some time. 😕

And tbh I have several gamepads (some even from ps2 which still work after years of use) and I have never had any drifting, but maybe is just luck..

Sounds nice, you're sure is easy?? I'm rather shy to open the joycon on my own and my mechanic skills are -100.

I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this! It's really up to you, you know yourself and are the best judge of your skills and confidence in doing this kind of things :giggle:
I personally usually really like to repair stuff and found it easy enough, but maybe before any decision look up a couple of YouTube videos and see how you feel about it!

I have lethal joycon drift. In the end I just caved in and bought a pro controller, disgustingly expensive but they're high quality, durable and have a long battery life so it's been a decent investment. I bought my pro last year after so many BOTW rages due to Link drifting, got it used off Ebay and works great.

Do you have pets that shed? Cause when I cleaned out my joy cons so much cat & rabbit hair was stuck in there (don't judge me). I don't know how it happened but cleaning it sure did help.

Ugh.To be honest, I take good care of my controllers and I haven't experienced any joycon drifting until ACNH. I mean, I could not even understand why lol. I'm not the one to abuse this kind of stuff. I have gone through 3 pairs now. I've kept the default joycons while they're still in mint condition because you cannot find them elsewhere here (Pokemon). I could not help thinking this might be a bug/glitch specifically on the game, but regardless, I'm extremely dissappointed at Nintendo. The joycons are expensive but very poor quality, assuming this isn't really some kind of glitch.

Highly recommend getting a pro controller the blue joy con/ left joy con is known for being pretty scuffed

Oh man I dropped my switch today and had a mini heart-attack. I usually play handheld and one of the joycons is becoming looser every day it's terrible. I also experience drift especially when I enter my house and the camera just rotates...

I definitely recommend the Hori Left Joycon replacement with an actual Dpad. It's around $25 or so, and has a good dpad on it to boot.
