One thing that I'm not that happy about with the game is that there aren't that many new villagers, I wish we had a lot more villagers added to the games although maybe similar to the amiibo update to ACNL we will get an update later on adding more villagers? also I'm not bashing on the game I'm just stating one aspect I wish they could've improved on.
Anyone else upset that ACNH doesn't have that many new villagers?

a bit, yeah. being introduced to new villagers is always one of my favourite things about a new ac game but i’m also kinda glad that they didn’t introduce too many. i feel like trying to choose 10 dreamies would’ve been a bit harder if they introduced a bunch of new villagers - it was hard enough with only the 8 lol

I don't mind that much, although of course I wouldn't say no to more new villagers.

I just want more personalities and personality subtype so that not all villagers with the same personality are the same. Also wish p type wasn't gender lock. I want my lazy gal!

I'm not upset, but I do find it extremely suspicious. So much so that I'm half convinced they're planning on releasing a batch of new villagers as an update (maybe a new species?)

Yes, especially since they added 2 whole new species to NL on top of adding to other species 
if they weren't going to add another species I at least was hoping for a hefty amount of villagers, especially in places where they're lacking (like octopi... There's only three)

honestly even though it's greedy of me I wanted more villagers, at least one new species, at least 1 new personality and/or more subtypes within personalities.. one can dream they'll be added in a future update- some if not all but i won't be upset if they arent

i didn't know why they didn't add too much! i mean we have so many villagers anyway, it's hard to find even our old dreamies but this is making me think they will just introduce new villagers in future updates. raymold will be old news before we know it.
For me they should remove some of them for the next game to give the player some fresh air. Yeah some favorites of players will potentially be gone but they always can bring them back after. And there's a lot of ugly ones nobody ever want or talk about so it could be a good test to remove some of them so see the AC fans reaction...
I mostly think we need some balance between the species and new species added. (Bats and a new anteater which is a pangolin would be a nice touch to redeem those poor beasts

I don't like that there's only 3 octopus for example, the gap number of villagers between species is sadly too high

I’d be lying if I say I wasn’t. I was kinda hoping for bat villagers, but like others have stated, maybe they’ll add some more villagers in future updates c:

Almost all the new villagers are ugly anyway, so if we got any more and they looked like that, I think I'm good without 'em.
