Anyone else have a really great “starting” 3?

I’m referring to villagers 3-5. I’m bummed they didn’t get their houses but with my first 6 NMT, I snagged Audie/Merengue/Erik. I was just curious if anyone else had a good run like that.

I decided to just have random move-ins in for my starting 3 but I got lucky and got no one I hate so that's cool lol I got Flora, Lolly, and Drake

my third villager was Ruby who I ran into at my second island visit! Loved her immediately
my fourth and fifth villagers were random, but I was very lucky, I got Maple and Erik!
(my first two were Rowan and Phoebe, but I'm replacing those lol)

my first 2 were agnes and dom, i'm not a fan of these 2 but they weren't that bad

then my next 3 were maddie, zucker and merengue and i got these on my first 3nmt
i love maddie and zucker so much, they are adorable but i personally can't stand merengue and couldn't wait to get rid of her lol

i was pretty glad with having these as my starters but i don't have any of them anymore since i had to make room for my dreamies ♡

i got marina on 1st ticket & previous dreamie apple. and then a random move in after i gave up looking for punchy, jeremiah who i ended up loving and it was a blessing i didn't get punchy or else he'd be stuck with starter house. phew.

I let randoms move in and got lucky and got Audie/Joey/Vesta I didn’t keep Vesta but still and forever will have Audie and Joey

I got Stella, Flora and Punchy! So a pretty good selection I think... Punchy did come from a NMT Island, I wasn't really looking to find a particular villager, mostly visiting for resources, but he looked cute so I invited him!

i wouldn’t consider mine to be amazing but i got piper, prince and pekoe, 3 villagers who i don’t mind! especially pekoe - she’s a sweetheart aha

I got Gayle, Stitches and Audie apart from having Dom and Phoebe. I already moved all out except for Audie even though I still like them.

I found Zucker on one of my first few islands, I didn't invite him though. He ended up being my random lazy move-in anyway.

After already getting lucky with Renee and Dom, my next three were Melba, Zucker, and Spike! Of the three, Melba and Zucker stayed! I didn’t really know of Melba before but she’s so cute and I’m happy I found her!

I got Lucky and Gayle from the islands. Then Bianca as a random move-in.

None of them lives on my island anymore though.

I didn't understand a lot of the mechanics when I went on my first 3 tours and just thoughtlessly recruited the first villagers I saw, which happened to be Tia, Bob, and Maddie. This wound up being a decent haul, and in particular I feel like getting Bob when I did was optimal, because I like him a ton but hate his actual house. I'd prefer to have him in the lazy starter house as I now do, so he's never leaving. Tia's great and Maddie's pretty good - I probably won't keep them forever because it conflicts with my current long-term plan, but I'm glad to have them now since progress towards my tentative list of ideal villagers is slowww (and my plan may always change in their favor, you never know).

I got 2 villagers that I am planning on keeping permanently out of the 3 (Drago and Felicity) and like you I'm also disappointed that they didn't get their original interiors. I'm just glad Pekoe/Skye weren't one of my starters since I would have cried if they didn't come with the interiors they were supposed to have lol.

Out of my starters/compulsory villagers my faves are Fuchsia (1st, sisterly) and Filbert (3rd, lazy). I adore them but I'll probably let em go if they ask one day, since they have default starter interiors.

My starters after the starters were Tammi, Norma and Sherb. While initially disliking them, Tammi and Norma were still pretty enjoyable for the time they spent on my island. Now I only have Sherb left and he's really sweet. One day I might kick him out for a camper or just let him go, but for now I do enjoy his company.

My numbers 3-5 were Pompom, Nana and Derwin. I am pretty happy with them, they all still live on my island and as of right now I have no intention to replace them (though I would eventually like to get Fauna and Poppy as normal villagers to replace Nana and Erik to replace Derwin - which is quite sad but in the end I really want to make an ancient (Greek) forest and mountain type of island. But since this game will probably last me years I am in no hurry to get my dream team right this minute. I want to enjoy other villagers as well.

I got Skye, Sprinkle and Drake aside from Reneigh and Louie. I think I got pretty lucky considering Skye is an ultimate dreamie of mine <3 She did come from an NMT island though.

I had Erik, Wendy and Flurry. Unfortunately they’re all gone now cause I couldn’t stand the default interior. I did enjoy them all while they lasted though

Invited Audie from one of my NMTs, my second or so and the other two were random. Neither of them are still living on my island tho
